Delivery


IN-HOME DELIVERY

We deliver products big and small with our authorized delivery team or other standard shipping methods. Our in-home delivery service handles large appliances too big for standard shipping carriers. If you purchased parts and accessories with a large appliance, we'll try to deliver those items together.

 

SCHEDULING THE DELIVERY

Depending on your delivery area, you may be able to select preferred delivery dates or time windows. We’ll contact you directly to finalize your delivery date and time. Delivery dates are estimates and subject to change based on product availability and other factors.

Be sure to note at checkout if your appliance needs to be delivered between floors 3-5. Deliveries above the 5th floor require a working elevator.

In some cases, depending on the products you select and their availability, certain items may ship separately. Shipping fees may apply to items that are shipped. Your cart at checkout will identify items that will ship separately and itemize any additional shipping fees.

 

RESCHEDULING POLICY

The option to reschedule orders on amana.com is not available within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery date. In case you need to reschedule an order within 72 hours of delivery, please contact Customer Support, a fee may apply.

The orders can not be rescheduled more than 3 times [or] beyond 60 days from the original delivery date, whichever comes first. In case you need to reschedule an order to a date beyond 60 days from the original delivery date, please contact Customer Support, a fee may apply.

 

WE'LL CONTACT YOU TO:
  • Notify you when your appliance leaves our factory so you can anticipate estimated arrival (usually about 4 business days before delivery).
  • Remind you the day before delivery.
  • Notify you when your product is about to arrive.
In-home delivery for major appliances* $29
Express delivery for major appliances (where applicable) $49

Home delivery is available in select parts of the continental United States at this time. For orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or other islands, please contact us at (866) 616-2664 to determine if we are able to fulfill your order. Actual delivery time depends on product availability and your location, and may take up to two additional weeks for outlying areas.

Delivery and installation policies and areas of service are subject to change. We may refuse delivery, installation or haul away services for safety or other reasons, such as local laws or regulations.

STANDARD SHIPPING

Parts or accessories may ship separately using standard shipping methods. Your cart at checkout will identify items that will ship separately and itemize any additional shipping fees. We ship using FedEx or UPS. Shipping normally takes between 4 to 10 business days, but may take longer for outlying areas.

INSTALLATION


PREP YOUR SPACE BEFORE YOUR APPLIANCE ARRIVES
 
1. WAYS TO PREPARE

If you selected installation at checkout, we’ll supply the parts needed to get your appliance installed. If you’re installing yourself, make sure you have the right parts and hookups (our checkout will identify compatible parts if you need to purchase them). 

Be sure to measure your home so your appliance fits through each hall and doorway and fits in your space. Installation fees include basic installation, but not things like new connections or cabinetry modifications.

2. INSPECT YOUR SPACE

Check for proper plumbing and correct water lines for products like washers, dishwashers or refrigerators with a water dispenser. Ensure there are nearby electrical outlets that fit your new appliance plug. 

If you do not have proper plumbing or outlets, the installation fee will not be waived. Deliveries above the 5th floor will only be made with a working elevator.

3. MAP OUT A PATH OF ENTRY
  • Measure the width of each doorway, hallway and stairwell the product may pass through.
  • If necessary, your delivery crew will remove your exterior doors (hinge pins) to gain access.
  • Make sure the pathway is clear of personal items, including tables or furniture that may get in the way.
  • We won’t remove interior doors, handrails, banisters, screen doors or any personal possessions.
4. MEASURE YOUR CUTOUT
  • Measure height, width and depth of your space to ensure the dimensions of your product match.
  • Some products will need some breathing room for venting, hookups and to allow doors to open.
    • Measuring for a laundry space: Add 1" of space on the sides of and in between the washing machine and dryer. Add 6" in the back of both the washing machine and dryer for venting and hoses.
    • Measuring for a refrigerator: add ½" on each side for venting.
  • Cabinet modifications will not be made.
DOING THE INSTALLATION YOURSELF?
  1. Be sure you have the right parts.
  2. If you’re installing yourself, installation parts are sold separately. Our checkout will help identify compatible parts.
  3. Please be sure to consult the owner’s manual before attempting installation.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR APPLIANCE IS DELIVERED
  1. When your appliance is delivered, make sure you’re available to sign and inspect it to ensure you’re satisfied. If you’re not available, someone 18 years or older must be there to sign.
  2. Our delivery team will use coverings to protect finished floors.
  3. If you selected installation, we'll make sure your appliance starts and runs properly.
  4. We offer installation for pedestals purchased with companion appliances.
  5. If you selected “haul away” for your old appliance and did not choose installation services for your new appliance, please arrange to have your old appliance unhooked by a professional and moved from the space prior to the arrival of our delivery agent.
  6. If you did not request installation, your appliance will be delivered to a spot you designate. It will be removed from the packaging for you to inspect.
  7. Upon delivery, please inspect your products for any damage. If you see any issues, let your delivery crew know immediately.
  8. Do not accept a damaged product if you want to return or exchange it. See our Return Policy for more details, including how to request a return after your product has been delivered.
  9. Confirm you have the right parts. If you select installation at checkout, we’ll automatically add the parts you need to get your appliance hooked up. If you’re installing yourself, our checkout will identify compatible parts you may need for hookup.

UNPACK, SET IN PLACE & HAUL AWAY


Our unpack, set-in-place & haul away services are available for most major appliances, depending on your location. Add them during checkout, and we’ll haul away and, where possible, recycle the appliance you are replacing. See your cart at checkout to know if you qualify for installation of your new appliance or unpack, set-in-place and haul away your old appliance. Availability of these services may vary based on product type and your location.

For example, built-in appliances or appliances that require a gas connection may not be available for installation due to local regulations. Appliance accessories will only be installed if purchased with a companion appliance.
