Three New Releases from With My Needle

Recently I sent three new designs to shops that requested them.  You can read all about the designs at my website www.withmyneedle.com.

If your favorite shops hasn't ordered, please ask them to contact me at [email protected]

Feel free to email me if you need a source for the bobbins.

Peacocks in the Garden
(an historical adaptation)

Quaker Sampling VI
Bobbins (often called spools) aren't a standard size so the chart pak has 3 charts to accommodate various bobbin sizes. The ones for Quaker Sampling VI are the same at the top and the bottom but different in between.  These designs look cute on bobbins but can also be made into a little pillow or just laid on a table to display.  If about 3-inches of linen is added to either side of the stitching, the design can be made into a drum.  There are so many possibilities.

Samplers from the Warren County Historical Society

As I was sorting through old photos, I ran across these from the Warren County Historical Society Museum in Lebanon, Ohio.  Taking photos was challenging due to overhead lights and flash reflections on the glass, but I thought you might enjoy seeing these photos anyway.

No matter what I tried, this photo would not upload in the right
orientation, but it is such a wonderful sampler that I decided  to
include it anyway.

These are just a fraction of the samplers in the Warren County Historical Society's collection.

In 2013, I showed some more photos from this wonderful little museum. If you're interested, you can view them at http://withmyneedle-ellen.blogspot.com/2013/03/samplers-friends-and-hot-cross-bunsoh-my.html.  You'll need to go about halfway down the posting to see the photos and write-up.
