Christmas Card Carousel

This is the ninth year of the Christmas Card Carousel, and even though I haven't touched this blog in a year, I figured why not continue the fun?! This is one of my favorite parts of the season and I look forward to it every year!

It's always a memorable experience getting family photos. I keep wondering when the time will come when my children will cooperate in front of a camera? I mean, they should be used to it being in front of their faces enough by now. Ha! I do love the shots that our photographer was able to miraculously capture though!

I can't get over how big our girls are getting. Four years old now!

Here's our 2016 Christmas card!

Shelby

Do you know a great guy that is looking for a beautiful, well-rounded, intelligent, low-maintenance, southern girl that loves Jesus and has traditional values? If so…..Shelby just may be the one!

Shelby is 21 and born and raised in Charlotte. Shelby’s last few years have been busy with YWAM (discipleship training/mission work), working, and pursuing a communications degree.

Here’s a little more about her...

Shelby is passionate about kids and has tons of little three and four year old best friends! (Including my two little lovies who adore their LouLou =).)

She also loves to travel. Europe is on her bucket list and she's always down for a road trip.

Shelby has conservative, traditional values and is family oriented. She loves watching football and is an avid Carolina panthers fan. She's a dog lover for sure (this could be a deal breaker).
She's a city girl at heart but appreciates the country. She enjoys a wide variety of music genres and loves going to movies (action, adventure, thriller, disney)
Shelby loves monograms, pearls and shoes! Reading is a favorite past-time, and she has a bit of a nerdy side that enjoys studying and learning. She equally enjoys being at home and on the go.
She would love to meet a guy that values his relationship with Christ above all and has servant-leader qualities. She trusts God to take care of the details. Shelby is open to long distance dating if necessary.

If you are interested in connecting with Shelby, send me an email at walkwithmebyfaith(at)gmail(dot)com =)

Christmas Card Carousel 2015!

Welcome to the Christmas Card Carousel! For eight years we have been sharing our Christmas cards through this fun link-up. I look forward to this every December! Who doesn't love checking their mail each December day and admiring all of the precious  faces adorning beautiful Christmas cards?! I know I do! And, I love that we get to share our cards this way too!

This was the first time we've taken family photos and the girls have actually cooperated and it was an overall pleasant experience. Christmas miracle?! I think so. ;-) I was doing pretty good on time with getting my cards ordered, then they arrived and were messed up. Boo. So, I had to wait another week for them to ship corrected ones. My cards just went in the mail yesterday, so they are finally on the way!

Christmas Card Carousel!

Well hello!! I didn't plan on abandoning this little blog of mine, but that's certainly what has happened! Life is good...busy, but so good. Our girls are now three years old and the light of our lives!

Emery Grace, 3 years old

Christmas Card Carousel 2014!

Welcome to the seventh annual Christmas Card Carousel!  I cannot believe we've been doing this for seven years. It's something I look forward to each December!
I just thought getting family pictures was a challenge last year. Boy did this year prove me wrong! My two stinkers did not want to cooperate at all, but thankfully our photographer is a miracle worker and was able to get much more than I thought she did. I just love seeing pictures of our family of four!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kinley and Emery!

I know it has been forever since I sat down to this computer to blog. We've had a busy past few months with lots of fun things going on. Sitting down to write about them just hasn't happened though. I do love looking back on the blog and seeing what we were up to, so I'm going to try to get back to it. Maybe I'll catch up at some point, we'll see.

The big news is that our sweet, tiny, miracle babies are now two years old! HOW in the world is that even possible?! Boy, people weren't kidding when they tell you time flies. It seems like yesterday that I was looking at these precious faces for the first time. And now, I've been blessed to see them everyday for two years. They are just as beautiful now as they were then!

Emery Grace
 Kinley Pearce

We had a simple and fun balloon birthday party for them this past weekend. We had family and just a few friends there, and we all had a great time! Nothing beats seeing excitement on your child's face and watching them have a ball. Here are a few pictures of our day. My camera was not acting right, and the lighting was tricky, so sadly a lot of my pictures turned out blurry =(
Some of the details...

The birthday girls!
Some of the fun!

On their birthday eve, I was a little weepy thinking about just how quickly the time has passed. We read their birth day books to them and reminisced about what that night was like, two years ago.
Although my itty-bitty babies are gone,  I will still hold them and rock them for as long as they'll let me!
On their actual birthday, we spent the day together as a family. It started out with cupcakes for breakfast, because...why not?! Thankfully, Emery still has eyebrows after a close call with the candles. Home girl was just ready for a bite of cupcake. Shew!
I'm a terrible mommy for scheduling their two year well visit on their birthday, but they were such troopers. I'm so proud of how brave they were. So, we celebrated with lunch at chick-fil-a!
We absolutely loved getting to celebrate our sweet birthday girls all weekend. They sure are loved and we are one blessed family!

Kinley and Emery, we could never have imagined the joy that you would bring to our lives! You both are our dream come true. Happy Birthday, sweet girls! We love you more than words will ever say!

I hope to be back soon with an update on what Kinley and Emery are up to at two years old!
