The Unity Workforce Grant was designed to empower workforce development organizations to inspire and support learners. It unlocks learners’ full professional and earning potential through immersive training programs with Unity. Applications accepted from April 17 – June 2, 2023.
Meet the grantees
The following recipients were selected from over 700 submissions based on their proposals’ attention to inclusion, impact, viability, and career development. We’re excited by the multitude of ways they are working to support the next generation of real-time 3D creators.
The 18-month Spark Fellowship Program will equip 200 future creators across sub-Saharan Africa with skills in video game development and extended reality.
DIG’s Change Hub will provide certified, future-of-work training experiences to students in partnership with local school systems to deliver technology education in Louisiana.
To increase DEI in the industry, XR Bootcamp will offer 150 scholarships for underrepresented talent to attend their ‘XR Bootcamp’ program.
The Games and Interactive Media (GaIM) program will expand to teach more than 1,200 students, furthering their mission to produce the next generation of diverse game professionals.
