Good Food Forum
Good Food Forum is an online community connecting stakeholders across our regional food system to facilitate new market opportunities, match resources, and share events, knowledge, recommendations, and best practices. This is a free resource open to anyone who works to grow, harvest, preserve, prepare, move, provide, and serve food & beverages within or with service to the Puget Sound region, as well as the businesses and organizations that support that work.

Nourishing Community
Nourishing Community is a subgroup of Good Food Forum that connects organizations and businesses addressing food insecurity across the Puget Sound region to share resources, collaborate, and coordinate toward shared goals. This includes (but is not limited to!) farmers, producers, distributors, wholesalers, food recovery, food banks & pantries, meal providers, mutual aid groups, and service providers with food programs.

The Walk-In
The Walk-In is a subgroup of the online community Good Food Forum to connect restaurants and food service businesses across the Puget Sound region to share resources, collaborate on market opportunities, and find solutions to challenges affecting the industry.

Good Food Exchange
Good Food Exchange is an online marketplace dedicated to keeping good food on plates and out of the landfill. This platform creates a space for farms, distributors, and other organizations with surplus or recovered food to find recipients who can use it to its highest value. Food businesses and food security organizations alike can use this resource to find and share offers for edible, free or low-cost food which may have otherwise gone to waste.

Good Food Connections returns February 24, 2025!
Features of this one-day event included panel discussions and presentations, networking, catered breakfast & lunch featuring local producers, and a resource trade show and food & beverage vendor tasting.

Eat Local First
As a partner in the Eat Local First Collaborative, Seattle Good Business Network contributes to the development of the WA Food & Farm Finder, the largest statewide directory of farms and food businesses sourcing locally.
The Wholesale Product Finder helps food businesses and organizations like restaurants, grocers, schools, hunger relief organizations, and more purchase food that is grown, caught, raised, and made right here in Washington State.

Nourishing Local Connections
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Seattle Good Business Network, Food Justice Collaborative, and Cascadia Produce hosted Nourishing Local Connections: A Listening Session. Organizations and businesses engaged in food system and food security work provided feedback to government agencies and elected officials in attendance about what their programs need for support in terms of funding and agency programming going forward.
Good Food Exchange x Lettuce Help Center
A collaboration of Cascadia Produce, Cedar Grove, and Seattle Good Business Network, the Lettuce Help Center and Good Food Exchange is a food rescue hub and online marketplace.
Good Food Exchange provides a platform for farms, food businesses, food assistance organizations, and institutions to buy, sell, donate, and receive recovered food.
The Lettuce Help Center is a wholesale food rescue hub that receives, stores, and distributes recovered food from distributors, manufacturers, and farms – composting what can’t be used – using Good Food Exchange as its sales platform.
Good Food Kitchens
Good Food Kitchens is a food assistance, economic development, and local food resilience program serving King County.
We provide funds and resources directly to restaurants to prepare free, nutritious and culturally relevant meals for community members in need, helping to keep restaurant doors open and workers employed, while purchasing from local farms and producers where possible and creating long-term local supply chain relationships.
Seattle Restaurant Week
Seattle Restaurant Week will return in the spring in 2025!
Seattle Restaurant Week is a bi-annual prix-fixe dining promotion that gives diners a unique chance to support the greater Seattle area’s culinary community, highlighting its craft, diversity, resilience, and great food. The event is both a celebration of the amazing food and diversity in our local cuisine and an invitation to support our restaurants and communities.
Field to Fork Podcast
The Field to Fork Podcast is produced in partnership with our Good Food Economy program, to share stories celebrating a resilient, sustainable, and just local food economy. Through thoughtful and lively conversations, hosts Keith Bacon and Becky Selengut let the experts speak for themselves on their unique experiences and diverse perspectives, providing a highly accessible platform to boost important stories and support independent businesses.
Past Initiatives
Restaurants, bars, and cafes are the heart and the soul of any city. In Seattle, our community’s diversity, values, and spirit are expressed through the take-out counters, fine dining establishments, and late-night spots that unite us. This third place weaves the fabric of our city, nourishing not only us, but our relationships with each other, our community, and our economy. These are some of the stories of the people that make up these essential places.

Restaurants at Home was created to help people find fresh & locally produced foods while supporting local restaurants, local farms and producers, and community members in need challenged by the COVID crisis and its response. It is no longer active but included here for reference.
The Food Finder included food boxes, pantry items, CSAs, meal kits, and ready-to-heat meals. The Community Kitchen filter shows restaurants who supported community through free meals.

A series of three virtual workshops to provide meaningful peer-learning and partnership building opportunities across the Puget Sound regional food system in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
These workshops will spotlight new models and programs that food businesses, community members, organizations have developed to address the negative impacts of the pandemic. We’ll identify opportunities for collaboration to support their work and explore how these new systems can help build a more resilient, sustainable, and just local food economy going forward.
