I've been busy, busy, busy with life (grandchildren, etc)
A couple of weeks ago I had an overwhelming desire to sew but didn't have anything prepared and ready to go. :-( I had a busy day ahead of me so there was no time to figure out what I wanted to do.
Since then I've spent fleeting moments of time cutting from my Bonnie and Camille scraps - Bliss, Vintage Modern, Ruby, Marmalade and Happy Go Lucky.
My project requires lots of white squares, too. :-)

Now when the overwhelming urge to sew happens I'll be ready to sew for as long as I have.
Can I get a woohoo!!! LOL
I don't know when I'll be back with another post but I'm sure it'll happen soon. Please continue to bear with me.

I never thought to put my fabric bits into the dryer to mix them up. What a great idea! :0)

Brillant idea! Putting the squares in the dryer to mix and fluff. I'm hoping that you are making a Scrappy Trip Around The World. I want to make one, but have to finish a couple of projects:) Take care!
Until I saw you mixed them up I was going to say bowties, but now I'm thinking scrappy 4 patches? That's a good idea to get them mixed up, I'll have to remember that one.
I would have NEVER thought of putting them in a dryer...BRILLIANT! Can't wait to see what you make!!

I'm guessing a postage stamp quilt. Whatever, it's going to be gorgeous with the Bonnie and Camille fabric. Like your dryer idea - you must watch the lottery:)

I'm thinking you are making a Scrappy Trip Around the World. I would never have thought to use the dryer to mix up the fabrics. I've always used a paper bag. Thanks for the great tip!
I love scrappy and I love stuff all cut up and ready to go. Great idea about the dryer. I wonder if missing squares go to the land of missing socks? LOL

Oh my gosh Darlene...you truly are my Wonder Quilter!!! What a great way to mix up fabrics. I will certainly be trying it soon. Who'd a thunk it??? I can't wait to see what your making AND I can't believe I missed the first four years of your blogging, but I just started quilting five years ago so I actually only missed out on two (kind of). My first thought after enlarging the pictures (to have a closer look at the fabric squares) is... a postage stamp quilt. But the white squares are telling me that's not right... I'm thinking something with 9 patch... or 16 patch??? Just hurry up already, so we don't have to keep guessing!!! :)
Shaken not stirred! Look at you go getting all that cutting done! I sure wish I had done that before my surgery. Will be watching to see what you make with all those luscious squares! xo

Oh, I'm thinking you're making half-square triangles (units of one white square and one printed square)to make the Moda Blitzen pattern.

have fun glad to see a post...sometimes just cutting for projects and having them ready for a future project is what I will do too for a week at a time.

Really have no idea what you are going to make, but whatever it is, I can't wait to see the result. So many different blocks could be made from all those scraps. How clever putting them in the dryer. I must try that sometime. It is so nice to have everything cut for when you find a few minutes to sew. So glad you have been enjoying your granddaughters.
