Reverse Confetti 7th Birthday Hop!

Hello and welcome to Reverse Confetti's 7th Birthday Blog Hop! What a milestone -- congrats to Jen and the whole Reverse Confetti Crew 💗 I'm honored to join a wonderful group of crafters today to celebrate Reverse Confetti's birthday and the new release.

All of the products in the new release are now available in the Reverse Confetti store!

My first project features the beautiful new floral stamp set SKETCHED FLORALS and coordinating SKETCHED FLORALS CONFETTI CUTS dies. It's been a long time since I last made a card, so I really appreciated how easy it was to get beautiful results with this set. I started by stamping the outline images onto my background in a medium gray ink. Then I filled in the colors using the solid images. The layered, sketched style is super forgiving and creates a wonderful look.

I added a layer of vellum to the background, then created a cluster of the diecut flowers stamped in the same colors as the background, and finished with one of the sweet handlettered-style sentiments.

Reverse Confetti has a freebie this month, too. With every purchase of $60 or more, you'll get the following set free:

FRIENDLY RAINBOW

I heat embossed the FRIENDLY RAINBOW main image onto dark gray cardstock, then colored with Prismacolor pencils. I love how it pops against the dark background.

Next I stamped one of the sentiments, popped it up with foam tape and accented with some Nuvo drops.

Reverse Confetti July Release Hop

Greetings and welcome to Reverse Confetti's July Release Hop! You should be arriving here from Olga Matyushevskaya's blog. I'm the last stop on today's hop, so when you're finished here, head on over to the Reverse Confetti store, where all of the the new products are now available.

The July release has 7 stamp sets, 10 Confetti Cuts, and 1 paper pad.

Today's card features LEMONADE STAND stamps, LEMONADE STAND Confetti Cuts and CIRCLE OF HEARTS COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts.

I adore this sweet little zebra from LEMONADE STAND! I stamped him, the basket of lemons and a mason jar of lemonade, colored everything with Copics and created a soft scene with ICED AQUA and PISTACHIO ink blending. The sun and clouds are both from the previously released RAINY DAY FUN stamps and dies.

In the background, I added ICED AQUA and PISTACHIO ink blending on the card base, then spritzed with shimmer spray. I layered the new CIRCLE OF HEARTS COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts, diecut from POLAR WHITE card stock. The stitched circle (from the SQUARE & CIRCLE FRAME Confetti Cuts) was also spritzed with shimmer spray. Last, I added a white embossed sentiment on MIDNIGHT card stock and some glitter to the basket of lemons.

The Greetery June Release Day 3 - Blooming Branch, Robin & Wren, and Sentiment Suite: Birthday

Hello friends! Long time, no blog. I've had some family matters that have pulled me from crafting for a little while, BUT, I am excited to be back today helping with The Greetery's June release. It's already Day 3 of the New Product Meet & Greets, so if you need to catch up, be sure to check out Day 1 and Day 2 too.

Today's featured products are: BLOOMING BRANCH stamps and dies, ROBIN & WREN stamps and dies, and SENTIMENT SUITE: BIRTHDAY stamp set. For more detailed info about these new products, visit The Greetery blog. Connect with The Greetery on Instagram or Facebook as well!

All of the new products will be available for purchase in The Greetery store on Friday, June 21 at 10:00 am Eastern Time.

I've combined all three of today's products on this bright and colorful birthday tag. Both BLOOMING BRANCH and ROBIN & WREN are multi-step stamps. The image layers allow you to create amazing depth with just a few impressions.

I stamped my branch in shades of brown, then stamped the green leaves and bright pink flowers. I can't get over how gorgeous these images are *and* how easy they are to stamp!

I stamped the tiny birthday sentiment from SENTIMENT SUITE: BIRTHDAY onto a tiny tag from the SENTIMENT SUITE BASICS die set and "hung" it from one of the branches.

I decided to stamp the birds in bright yellows instead of robin colors. I don't know if these fellows actually exist in the wild, but they are perfectly at home here on my tag. Don't be afraid to go off-script with your bird color choices!

Jillibean Soup - Stamped Succulents + Masking Tips

Hi there, just stopping in today to share a set of cards featuring an adorable stamp set by Jillibean Soup: YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY.  This set is part of the bigger You Make Miso Happy collection. For all three of today's cards, I've used masking to achieve different results. Masking is a great way to add visual depth without adding bulky layers to your card. For this first card, I've used masking to create this row of overlapping succulents. Here’s a quick video I did last week for Jillibean Soup's YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to the Jillibean Soup channel for some fantastic tips on everything from cards to scrapbooking to DIY home decor.

For this first card, I started by stamping the images I wanted to appear in the front, then masked those off before stamping the background plants. Also, by stamping the images in lots of different shades of green, it looks like I’ve used a lot more than just three unique plant images.

For all three cards, I used Distress Oxide inks. The pigment quality of these inks gave me great ink coverage, solid impressions, plus a whole assortment of greens. I've only used my Distress Oxide inks for backgrounds before, so it was fun to use them for stamping.

To add interest and get more mileage from this set, I stamped a row of the XOXO sentiment in light gray ink, trimmed it down, and placed it behind the succulent border, leaving just the bottoms of the letters showing. Instead of being a readable sentiment, it becomes a background pattern. The sentiment is a diecut from the YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY PEAPOD PARTS, and the butterfly and heart images are from the same YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY stamp set.

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup:
Stamps: You Make Miso Happy
PeaPod Parts: You Make Miso Happy

Other: Ink: Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Twisted Citron, Evergreen Bough, Pumice Stone, and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks; Jet Black Archival Ink

I’ve used masking on these next two cards as well. For this card, I stamped a trio of pots and plants in the same color scheme as above.

Next, I cut three pots out of masking paper and placed them over the stamped pots. I added a horizontal strip of masking tape and then did some ink-blending to create a horizon line.

Last, I chose a sticker from the YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY COORDINATING STICKERS to add a pop of bright yellow.

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup:
Stamps: You Make Miso Happy
Coordinating Stickers: You Make Miso Happy

Other: Evergreen Bough, Bundled Sage, Pumice Stone, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn Distress Inks; Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die set

My last card features the same images and colors, but this time as a background. A rare (for me) one-layer card, too!

I mixed and matched pots, plants and colors for lots of variety. Once all the plants were stamped, I masked off the pots and added ink-blending to ground each plant.

My final steps were to add the crisp black stamped sentiment and some gray ink splatter.

Do you have a favorite of the three? I think mine is this last one!

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup:
Stamp Set: You Make Miso Happy

Other: Ink: Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Evergreen Bough, Pumice Stone, and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks; Onyx Black Versafine Ink

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Greetery - Pink Floral Wreath

Hello friends, wanted to pop in and share another card I made last month with FLEUR IMPRESSIONS and COMFORTING COMMANDS from The Greetery. These sets are both sold out currently, but you can sign up to be notified when they are back in stock.

For this card, I made a wreath design using multiples of just one of the floral images in FLEUR IMPRESSIONS. This particular image has the perfect natural bend for wreath-making.

In the center is my favorite Scripture from COMFORTING COMMANDS, stamped in a golden yellow ink and die-cut with the matching COMFORTING COMMANDS dies.

I placed everything on a medium gray background. For added interest, I splattered with white paint and did some light ink blending around the perimeter with white pigment ink.

Have a great week!
