Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić will be out of the lineup for at least a week, the team announced Thursday.
Dončić suffered a right wrist sprain in the Mavs’ 132-91 win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. In that game, Dončić returned to the lineup after missing the team’s win Sunday against Oklahoma City with a knee injury.
The Dallas Mavericks announced today that an MRI revealed a right wrist sprain for guard Luka Dončić. Dončić sustained the injury during the Mavericks’ game against New Orleans on Tuesday.
Dončić will be reevaluated in one week.

He scored a game-high 26 points and was 10-for-16 overall and 3-for-8 on 3-pointers in the win against the Pelicans. This season, Dončić is averaging 28.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game for the Mavs (8-7).
Dallas will play in Denver on Nov. 22 (10 p.m. ET, ESPN), in Miami on Nov. 24 (6 ET, NBA League Pass) and in Atlanta on Nov. 25 (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass) before hosting New York (7:30 ET, ESPN) on Nov. 27. Following Thanksgiving Day, the Mavs’ next game is Nov. 30 in Utah (9:30 ET, NBA League Pass).
