Models & Phases | MOSIP
Whether the need of the hour is of digital infrastructure developed and established from scratch, or whether pre-existing systems and technologies are in need of consolidation and expansion, MOSIP offers, MOSIP offers two models of adoption.
01.

Greenfield Model:

From the Ground Up
Offers countries the ability to adopt MOSIP and join its ecosystem of partners in technology and academia. The modules are customised from scratch to enable all processes, from pre-registration to issuance and verification, for all residents.
02.

Brownfield Model:

Embracing Existing Infrastructure
The Brownfield model of adoption offers a way to integrate the MOSIP platform with existing databases or identity systems in the adopting country. Our team will work with local experts to upgrade legacy infrastructure to modern digital identity systems.
MOSIP and adopting country asses and understand appropriate models and country needs, to design a pilot.
The pilot programme offers an experience of all stages of MOSIP implementation in a specific country’s context, by demonstrating ID life cycle on a predetermined population size.
The MOSIP team works with country partners to assess and document the learnings from a pilot. These learnings are applied in designing a national rollout plan.
A country partner carries out a national rollout to register the entire resident population.
