Pediatrics Internship Program at Stanford (PIPS)
The Pediatrics Internship Program at Stanford (PIPS) is a 6-week program in which rising junior and senior high school students learn about science, medicine, and research with Stanford faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students, and researchers by completing a research project. The PIPS program is designed as an introductory experience for students with little to no prior exposure to research.
Stanford Medical Youth Science Program
The Stanford Medical Youth Science Program is a five-week immersive enrichment program focused on science and medicine that is open to low-income, first-generation high school juniors who live in Northern California.
Stanford Summer Science Internship Program

Clinical Anatomy Summer Program (CASP)
CASP is for high school students considering careers in medical and health-related fields.This in-person, week-long course will introduce students to the anatomy of the human body through lectures and surgical and dissection labs.
Stanford Tri-Valley Clinical Academy
The Stanford Tri-Valley Clinical Academy is a 2-week immersive experience offering an opportunity for high school students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare to learn more about the field of medicine. Students will participate in an enriched curriculum consisting of various medicine topics (ex, cardiology, nephrology etc.), basic skills such as taking vitals, and obtaining a history and physical, splinting, and suturing just to name a few.
Clinical Neuroscience Immersion Experience (CNI-X)
Participants attend a two-week (10-day) session which provides introductory exposure to fascinating topics in neuroscience, psychiatry and psychology plus an opportunity to complete a collaborative capstone project.
Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills Summer Internship
The Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills Summer Internship is designed to educate high school students considering careers in science and medicine in cardiothoracic surgical anatomy and physiology as well as surgical techniques that will be utilized in pre-medical and medical training.
Stanford CARE AI Summer Program for High School Students
The Stanford CARE AI Summer Program for High School Students is a dynamic two-week in-person experience designed for high school students passionate about improving health outcomes in Asian communities and beyond. Participants will learn the fundamentals of statistical data analysis, learn to use AI tools, including ChatGPT, to analyze health datasets, explore critical health topics affecting Asian populations, and develop essential leadership and teamwork skills.
SNP-REACH: Stanford Neurodiversity Project Research, Education and Advocacy Camp for High Schoolers

Listen to Me!™ is a research-based training for families and professionals on how to maximize listening and spoken language outcomes for children with hearing loss.

SIMR Summer Research Program
The Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program (SIMR) is an eight-week program that offers students the opportunity to be mentored by faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in biomedical research projects. Stanford EXPLORE Lecture Series
Stanford Explore is an exploratory 3 week lecture series in biomedical research covering the basic fundamentals and some of the current research topics at the Stanford School of Medicine (Immunology, Neuroscience, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, Cancer Biology, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics). Besides learning about some of the current research, students will also learn about the current techniques and applications that are used.
RAMP UP/STaRS Internship Program 2025

The CARE Scholars Program is a virtual research program focused on training the next generation of leaders in Asian health research. CARE Scholars will utilize tools to conduct large database analysis, understand core concepts in health care research, and identify problems/solutions in vulnerable populations.

Leadership in Health Disparities Program (LHDP)
LHDP is a 8 week summer program for entering Stanford medical students with a passion to address health inequities. Program provides a 50% RA to allow medical students to participate in a research project and participate in course work focusing on health inequities.
Stanford Summer Community College Research Program
The Stanford Summer Community College Research Program promotes and nurtures science literacy, aptitude, and interest by providing talented and motivated community college students exposure to science in an exciting, committed, supportive environment through mentorship and scholarly pursuit. We are please to announce that this program is partnering with the Cardiovascular Institute Summer Research Program in 2025 to sponsor a small number of community college interested in cardiovascular research. The Stanford-HBMC Summer Research Program invites rising second-year medical students from all four of our nation's Historically Black Medical Colleges (HBMCs) – Howard University College of Medicine, Meharry Medical College, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Charles R. Drew University College of Medicine – to conduct an eight-week summer of research across 19 different departments and institutes in the Stanford School of Medicine.

The ADVANCE Summer Institute is an intensive 8-week program for incoming and matriculated Biosciences graduate students. Through ADVANCE, we facilitate the smooth transition to becoming a Stanford Biosciences PhD student, laying the foundation for a successful and rewarding graduate experience. In addition to individualized and group mentorship and training, ADVANCE Scholars will participate in their first laboratory rotation within their Biosciences home program.
