Article Source Issue[]
I wonder about this article. It is almost a verbatim copy of the same article in the Encyclopedia of Arda, which is a copyrighted and commercial source. The article does appear to satisfy the terms of use set forth in that site, but it seems to me that it does not conform to the spirit of the Wiki. In the Encyclopedia of Arda section of the LOTR Community Portal, it states that "Information [from the Encyclopedia of Arda] must not be copied directly, since it is copyrighted...." Aside from the issue about the source, the article uses poor grammar, and it also is just not a good article on the subject matter. I have always wondered about the Encyclopedia of Arda's problems with content, which is why I would not want to just copy its material. I agree with the writer of the LOTR Community Portal that it does make a great source of article ideas, but I don't think it is good enough to be copied verbatim.--N3rus 01:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
