Findegil was a Man of Gondor who lived during the Fourth Age.
As one of the King's Writers, Findegil penned a copy of the Red Book of Westmarch for the Thain of the Shire, which he completed in FO 171.[1]
Etymology[]
Findegil was possibly Sindarin for 'hair star', being a compound of Fin and gil.[2]
