Yaksha was the first King of the Yaksha clan. He is deceased by the time the webtoon takes place.
Appearance[]
According to Currygom, he originally took the form of an old man, but later on decided to look like a 12-year-old. He had white hair and bright blue eyes. Yaksha was often seen with an empty pipe in his mouth.[Citation needed]
Yaksha's Sura form bears an appearance similar to a lion made of flaming light. Without his heart, his size was big enough to push a star system's sun with one of his paws, with the paw alone being even larger than the sun.[1]
Personality[]
In her blog, Currygom stated that Yaksha died because he was too good to humans. He did not like the sura realm because it was bleak, preferring forests with water nearby. Yaksha was dignified, charismatic, and gentle. Despite his appearance, he behaved more like a grandfather and loved to play with children.[Citation needed]
Skills and Abilities[]
Yaksha's power is vast, fittingly for a king of a clan. His physical prowess and durability are impressive. In his human form, and greatly weakened by his heart, he could block and seemingly avoid injury by a transcendental of Asura that completely destroyed a planet, all through his bare hands. He was still notably pressured by it, however.[2]
After regaining his heart, his power grew immensely, to the point of being able to severely injure Asura, a fellow king, with merely the claw of one finger, as well as smash him all the way into a planet different from the one they were fighting it, all through physical might alone.[3]
Yaksha possess a unique transcendental called King of the Land. It activates when Yaksha surpasses a certain level of rage, and the power of the transcendental is proportional to his rage. Versus Ananta, the power of this transcendental, pushed to its limit, was able to prevent Ananta from taking his full Sura form. Yaksha's full Sura Form was equivalent to Ananta's partial one, and indeed ended up killing him, making him the only Nastika who has suceeded in doing so. [4]
The effects of the King of the Land varies from paralyzing land-bound creatures such as humans and suras on the spot to making bird-type suras a little uncomfortable – but would not be considerably affected – to barely having any effect on fish-type suras.[5]
Notes[]
- Yaksha was the 3rd strongest sura, right after Vritra.[6]
- He fought against Asura many times, even to the brink of killing him, since Asura was supposedly his greatest enemy.[7]
- His hobby is fishing with his tail.[7]
- Yaksha's bones are scattered throughout the planet Willarv. Half hunters use the bone fragments to block half transcendentals.[8]
- A cloak made of Yaksha's fur is given to Asha Rahiro by Lorraine Rartia. It possesses the ability to hide the wearer from being spotted by Hoti Surya.[9]
Plot[]
He was the first King of the Yaksha clan and died around 10,000 years before the beginning of the story.[10] There is still no clear explanation of Yaksha's death, other than the fact that he died on Willarv, and that Asura somehow forced the humans that he loved until the very end to betray him.[11]
The Finite[]
Near the beginning of the universe, Yaksha was visited by Kinnara, who told him about the negotiations that the Vritra clan had done with the primeval gods. He was disappointed, having hoped for a match between Ananta and a female Vritra. Kinnara tells him that Vritra no longer pays attention to her anymore and starts crying. He pats her shoulder and advises her not to be overtaken by her grief, as that might harm her clan. His advice is to go back to her clan and prepare for an attack, as their only ally has left them. Kinnara understands and does as he says.
Season 1[]
Chapter 7: Half (半)[]
(3) One of Yaksha's bones are used by half hunters as a tool to disable and capture halfs.
Season 3[]
Chapter 47: Words That Never Reached You[]
(19) Outside of Rindhallow, a pair of Yakshas discuss the fact that Yaksha died on this planet. Though this happened a long time ago, so long that the cities of Willarv didn't even exist at the time. They are horrified that Yaksha's fur and bone fragments get traded as trophies on Willarv.
Allegedly, the humans who Yaksha loved so much had no choice but to make a pact with Asura in order to survive. And so, Yaksha was left with no choice if he was to protect them.
Chapter 50: The Weight of Time[]
(8) It is revealed that Yaksha was killed by Asura while enduring not regenerating the heart that he gave to humans. Although he did this because he believed in humans, he allegedly got nothing but resentment in return. This happened less than 60 000 years before the beginning of the main story.
(9) Yaksha's heart must have been retrieved by Hanuman who then passed it onto her descendents. The heart is currently present in Ran Sairofe and it is the source of his superhuman powers.
