Sea of Flame (火の海, Hi no Umi) is the 94th chapter of the Kekkaishi Manga written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe.
Summary[]
Tokine Yukimura advises Yoshimori to angle his Kekkai diagonally so that Gagin's fireball can be deflected with less power. Yoshimori refuses and creates his Kekkai so that the fireball hits it straight on, insisting that since Gen Shishio is risking his life, he must do the same.
Gen continues to attack Gagin, who is stronger but unable to keep up with Gen's speed. The flame tattoo on Gen's body begins to activate, causing him pain, but he is able to ignore it for the time being, since Gagin's flames are hotter. Gen slashes through Gagin's flame barrier, much to Gagin's shock.
Yoshimori struggles to deflect the fireball, and Tokine insults his strength, giving him the extra push he needs to throw the fireball back at Gagin. Gen slashes open Gagin's barrier again, allowing the fireball to hit Gagin head-on.
While watching the battle, Shion senses the destruction of her Spider Goons, but does not inform Byaku of this.
Gen is about to strike Gagin down when Kaguro suddenly appears, driving two swords into Gen's back. Gagin falls and is caught by his subordinates. Kaguro gives Gen one last chance to become his ally, but Gen refuses. Kaguro rips his swords free, mortally wounding Gen as Yoshimori and Tokine look on in shock.
