Resolution ( 決意 Ketsui ) is the 35th chapter of the Kekkaishi Manga written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe
Summary[]
Masamori asks how Yoshimori will seal Karasumori. Yoshimori admits he doesn't know exactly, but promises to get stronger so he can manage it. Masamori says it's a good idea, which surprises Yoshimori. Yoshimori admits he expected Masamori to get mad, and Masamori points out that he isn't their grandfather and isn't as stubborn. Masamori warns him that Karasumori is dangerous, but doesn't discourage him. Yoshimori thinks it is strange that they protect something they know nothing about. Masamori disagrees, saying that commoners have always been separate from nobility, and that those who try to get close to gods are punished. Masamori leaves to investigate on his own, and summons Kurohime. He plans to spread his shadow over the entire city and flush out anything that doesn't belong. Each of the Kekkaishi sense Masamori's power as it spreads across the city. He locates a disturbance, just as Yoshimori catches up to him and demands to know what he's doing. Masamori says he isn't ready to know and leaves him behind.
The next day, Shigemori praises Masamori's improvement, but warns him not to become lost in the techniques. He also says not to get too involved with The Shadow Organization. Masamori says he will leave soon since his jobs are piling up. Shigemori asks Masamori to come home, saying that it would be better since Yoshimori is incompetent. Masamori refuses, and says they both know that Yoshimori is better than him. As the family gathers to see Masamori off, Yoshimori gives him Kouya's fur and asks him to return it to the mountain Kouya used to live on. Masamori agrees and tells Yoshimori to do his best. Yoshimori promises himself that he'll surpass Masamori one day. That night, Tokine is disappointed that Masamori left, since she planned to ask him to teach her more techniques, which upsets Yoshimori. Yoshimori inwardly promises to seal Karasumori so Tokine will never be hurt again.
