Weekly Wisdom--Anything is Possible

As we approach Christmas and see all the beautiful lights and signs of hope everywhere, I am reminded that with love, anything is possible.

I think if many of us look back on our lives, there have probably been times when we wondered if things would ever change...Even when we didn't, we still kept our faith.

Maybe things didn't change in our timing, but they changed nonetheless.

I can always feel the changes coming during this time of year...a time when joy and giving come to the forefront...a time of remembering those we love...a time of planning surprises just to see the joy on someone else's face...

I'm like a little kid at this time of year...what about you?

XO
Cindy

  1. Hi again Cindy!
Yep...like a little kid. But then, that's me most of the year - probably because I pretty much stay immersed in things having to do with the Incarnate Birth of our Lord!:)
    Blessings!

  2. I love to read all the wonderful ways that all of you see Christmas and your memories. I miss my grands right now and are always gone over the holidays since we are snowbirds but I'm glad for technology so I can talk to them.

  3. So excited to see the kids open their gifts. I was always the first one up on Christmas morning. The tree lights lit and music playing and a disguised low tone "ho, ho. ho" as the front door closed making the sleighbell on the handle jingle waking the children up. They never questioned. I needed to see their faces as they ran from their bedroom to the livingroom to see what Santa had brought them. Magical. My children are all grown now. But I still get to see the magic in their and my grandchildren's faces when they come on Christmas Day.

  4. Loving the print! I'm so happy I won it! I love the sentiment. At this time of the year, I always think of my Mom. She loved sharing the holidays with her grandchildren. I really miss her.

  7. I was just thinking about this the other day. Christmas is such a special time of year. It can bring heartache, or great joy. But inside we are always a child looking for the happy moments. What a blessing to know that the Christ Child is truly the one who brings us happiness and contentment. Thanks for the great post.

  8. Thank you for your lovely thoughts Cindy.

God has created a very special beauty in every season and there's quite a bit I love about winter and Christmas time. One thing I really love are winter birds. I can reamember one of the best times of being a young mother, I watched my children play in the afternoon snow...winter birds singing in the trees nearby.

Yes, I too believe with all my heart that everything is in God's timing. Don't you think it's important that we know He has the best plan for our lives if we allow Him to lead us in the right directions by praying first?

Thanks to all you ladies...I enjoyed reading all of your comments very much. Touched my heart in a special way.

  11. Cindy, you are too sweet. The hamper is right next to the mantle toward the left of the picture. It's not too bad though. ;) I also added a great story that goes with the NY taxi ornament. I completely forgot to mention it before. Come and read it under the taxi. I know you love special stories like that and it is perfect for your praying heart to be stirred with even more faith. God is always in control.
