Hey ya'll

Sorry its been quiet trying to get life on the right course and as we all know nothing goes right when you need it too, lol anyway anyone who reads my post on facebook which is mainly where ive been at lately knows whats going on but i'll copy it here:

Hey ya'll, I'm starting a donation fund to help us get a car, i know its kinda a petty thing but we live in the desert and they changed where my daughter would be going to school which was only 2 blocks away is now almost 2 miles, while that may not seem like a lot, our August average is 106 but has many many times reached 110 (this is when she starts school). All donations will have a perk for whatever amount you wish to donate. $5 will get our very special Witch brew herbal tea mix that works wonders in so many different situations $10 you get your choice of a stone charm with a scroll (can be seen on my etsy page) or an Herbal spell mix. $15 Gets you 3 simple wire wrapped rings(will post pics in folder later) in your color choice. $20 will get you your choice of a Tree of life pendant in your color choice or a wire wrapped moon pendant again with your choice of color of stone or a gemstone bracelet or anklet. $30 donations get to pick 2 of anything on the above list, $50 donations will get 3 of anything off the list above and anything over that you need contact me so we can make you a bundle package. I would really appreciate any help Our goal is $1500 and that will just about cover everything and if we reach our goal I will be having a huge gift basket giveaway, so not only did you get something for donating you also have a chance for a gift basket. My paypal address is [email protected] Again ty for the help and please spread the word.:)

Also currently anything for sale on my etsy shop goes for this fund and if you buy anything there you can use the code: WAITINGFORSPRING to get 10% off and even if we dont meet our goal it's still a huuuuuge chunk of change to get the ball rolling on it.

Also i have a ton of pics to post later but right now i must get to jewelry making for donations.

Brightest Blessings

4 days of this crazy weather and a pic of my hestia who decided to photo bomb....

But now everything is turning green, so here's to hoping it looks like Ireland this spring!

Btw I haven't disappeared so much as i haven't been on blogger much but im still posting on Facebook. There should be a link on the side bar to my fb page

alrighty off to find some kind of craft to keep me from being any colder.

Birthday gift

My husband surprised me with an extra gift this year, he bought me a computer tower because ours died but then he got me this:

A HUGE mortar and pestle:)
i've been needing one so bad since i lost my old one in one of our moves. If you wanna judge it by size, its sitting on one of those 96 count diaper boxes and its pretty much the same with across as the box.

So this is the incense recipe im going to use to "de-flower" it:P

Samhain Spirit Incense
By the time Samhain rolls around, your herb garden is probably looking pretty sad. Now's the time to take all those goodies you harvested and dried in September, and put them to good use. This incense blend is perfect for a Samhain seance, divination session, or for any other autumn working.
This recipe is for loose incense, but you can adapt it for stick or cone recipes. As you mix and blend your incense, focus on the goal of your work. Do you wish to contact the spirit of a long-dead ancestor? Are you hoping to bring some visions your way in a dream? Or are you maybe looking to enhance your own meditative abilities? Focus your intent as you blend your ingredients.
You'll need:
2 parts Cinnamon
1 part ground cloves
1 part Dragon's Blood resin
1 part Hyssop
1 part Patchouli
2 parts Rosemary
1 part Sage
A dash of sea salt
Add your ingredients to your mixing bowl one at a time. Measure carefully, and if the leaves or blossoms need to be crushed, use your mortar and pestle to do so. As you blend the herbs together, state your intent. You may find it helpful to charge your incense with an incantation. For example, if you were going to use your incense during a seance, you could use this:
The veil has thinned, the moon is bright
and I blend this magic on Samhain night.
Celebrating life and death and rebirth
with these herbs I've harvested from the earth.
I send my intent by smoke in the air
and call on those whose blood I share.
I ask my ancestors to guide and watch over me,
As I will, so it shall be.
Store your incense in a tightly sealed jar. Make sure you label it with its intent and name, as well as the date you created it. Use within three months, so that it remains charged and fresh.

Dream bag (nightmare pouch#2)

Dream bag or nightmare pouch. My husband has horrible nightmares from time to time as well as my daughter we have several different recipes, this one works really super well.

You will need: A drawstring bag in either lavender, white or black

about a teaspoon of the following herbs: note: you can use essential oils if you wish and also can sub in rosemary or sage for herbs you don't have or simply leave them out.

Amber for peace (yes i know a resin not an herb:)
Apple blossom for peace
Bergamot for peace and restful sleep (i've found this one hard to find until i went to k-mart and they were selling them as flowers.>.<)
Celery seed for restful sleep (spice isle at grocery store as a rule)
Chamomile for peace and restful sleep (alot of smaller grocery stores are carrying this now but if you cant find them with spices check out the tea section.
Freesia for peace
Gardenia for peace
Hyacinth for protection and peaceful sleep
Jasmine for peaceful dreams and good sleep (again, tea section, one of the stores here has jasmine tea)
Lavender for peace and sleep (i actually cant find this local to buy but the corner mini mart store has lavender bushes growing so every so often when im walking by i snag a few flowers.
Magnolia for peace
Mugwort for peaceful dreams (this one i actually found at a little store ran by some hispanic people, it was with their spices)
Narcissus for peace
Sweet pea for courage and strength
Tupli for dreams
Valerian for sleep, protection and peace (love this one, again at the hispanic ran store or you could probably find it at and alternative heath food store)
Vervain for peace and protection
Violet for peace and sleep

Set up an altar if you wish with a circle. Prop open the bag and as you add the herbs say the following:

The dreams that come to me are unpleasant and frightening
I combine together these herbs, their magic, their scent,
To chase the nightmares away,
To bring me peace, protection, and a good nights sleep
As I lay my head upon them

say this 3 times as you are adding the herbs then tie off the bag and say:

Let my dreams
and myself be at peace
I charge this magic with this task
So mote it be

Place this underneath your pillow. Eventually the herbs will get old and need replaced when the scent gets to weak. Until then this will help keep nightmares at bay.
