Flowers, Washi Tape & Gelatos
Three Layouts to Share
By Di Garling

Hello there, thanks for calling by the blog.
Today I have three layouts to share with you, starting
off with this "self portrait". My hubby took these pics a few
weeks ago, it was my birthday & he was testing out his new camera.

On this layout I wanted to show you some of the fabulous
NEW Washi Tapes that Green Tara now has. They have so
many to choose from & there are so many fun ways to use them.

Here you can see I have added some Green Tara blooms to
the side of my photo, including this mustard "Damask",
as well as a "Lace Pearl" flower & also tucked in one of their
little black "Roses".

In this pic you can see in amongst my strips of Washi Tape I
have added a strip of Green Tara black "Cobweb  Mesh" to
add a little texture.

"Sweet Girl"

On this my second layout I have road tested my new set of
Gelatos & I have to say I love them. This background started
its life as a piece of white cardstock. I went crazy with the Geleatos
& stamping & hey presto, my background was created.
Because it is such a busy background I wanted to keep the
layout fairly simple.

I have started off by tucking lots of pieces of
different Green Tara "laces" in between the various
layers of paper & then simply coloured over them.

In this pic the main accent on my layout is this stunning
purple "Polka Dot Organza Ribbon" which I have tied
into a bow. I do love bows on my layouts.
I have then tucked in varios Green Tara flowers including
a purple "Satin Rose", with the pearl centre & a white "Primula".

The two pink "Primula" flowers were actually white but I gave them
a light coat of Dylusions to colour them up to just the right shade
that I wanted & the great thing is that they accept the colour
really well.
All of my chipboard I have used here is from 2 Crafty Chipboard.

"The Magic of You"

This is a layout I did ages ago & I thought I would share here
with you today because I have used lots of beautiful
Green Tara blooms starting off with the gorgeous
olive green "Wild Rose". Just the perfect
centre piece to any flower cluster. I have also
use an ivory "Azelea".

I have tucked in some ivory "Cherry Blossoms", ivory "Roses"
& tucked in a few green "Velvet Leaves".

Here you can see I have misted another  "Rose" green
to get just the right shade.

Well thats all for me for yet another month.
Stay tuned for some more Green Tara
inspiration.

Cheers Di  xo

Shares Some Green Tara Love....

Hello & welcome to the blog.
Today we have a gorgeous layout to share with you
from our good friend Heather Jacob.
Heather did this layout recently as part of a "Guest"
assignment for a paper manufacturer.

As well as everything else, Heather, being an ex
Green Tara design team girl herself, with an obvious love of
our sweet little blooms, has used lots of
these beautiful little flowers as the icing on the cake here.

Heather has used various Green Tara Roses, Rosebuds,
& then finished off with some of our Cherry Blossoms too.

Gorgeous clustering here Heather
& thanks for sharing it with us.

Until next time.

Same... but Different, by Mistra Hoolahan

Hi everyone,

Mistra here with you all today and I have a couple of layouts
to share with you in which I have used very similar techniques,
but created 2 rather different layouts!

"FUN TIMES TOGETHER"
As I was sorting through some photos I found these old ones of us
hamming it up with big cheesy grins for the camera.  I've never
scrapped them because they weren't quite perfect... but they are,
in the sense that this was us, having fun eating ice-cream
 in the middle of winter!

I created this one while I was teaching a class... there was only a
few girls who made it on this day, so I grabbed some stock from
the shelves, some Green Tara flowers, ribbon, lace and tulle
and sat there with them and created a layout in the same style,
just different paper.  It turned out quite different!

As it turned out, these papers were just perfect for the photos!
 Love it when that happens.

I have created layers and layers of paper, lace, tulle and flowers
on this layout.  The visual elegance and softness of the lace and
tulle works nicely with the girlified grunginess of the
crumpled and distressed background.

The beautiful soft Primula's look so lovely against the lace and tulle...

And the gorgeous Herringbone Ribbon was a perfect shade and adds
a stunning pop of colour and great contrast to the Satin Rosette.

--------------------------------------------------

Here's the other layout I created using the same background techniques!
This is my favourite technique at the moment, it helps me use the bolder
brighter patterns that I'm not usually comfortable with, but am drawn
towards anyway because the colours are simply stunning!

"PERFECT"
And as always... Green Tara seems to have just the right
 tones available to suit!

I've tucked in some flat petals under the folds and creases of the paper layers.
This may be an older line, and I can still remember using them years ago..
but for me they have a new lease on life as these tuck in accents.
They soften hard edges, fill in gaps and come in so many fabulous colours!
They have once again become a mainstay in my scrap stash!

This Gingham Frill Ribbon is such a sweetie... I usually use it
to add subtle edges, but I was playing around and thought why not create
a bow from it.  I love the look of it with it's different textures
and how it curls once tied!

I love the combination of peach and mint!
The Sakura flower always make such a
 lovely centrepiece in a cluster...

It's just one of those flowers that's not too big, not too small and just goes
with everything!  Above it's accented with flat Petals, a Cherry Blossom and a Rose.
And here below it sits beautifully with one of the delicate Poppy flowers!

I also wanted to share something I created a few weeks ago for a blog hop
I joined in on.  It's a sweet little trinket box dressed up with some of my
 favourite Green Tara goodies.

I've used some gorgeous Green Tara Lace and Polka Dot Organza Ribbon...

and Heirloom and Silk Flowers with Swarovski Crystals... such beauty!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting today...  I hope I have inspired you!

A Bunch of Cards by Marie-Josée

Hello, Green Tara fans!

Today, I will show you five different cards made with my Silhouette cutter
and various beautiful Green Tara products!

"For You" card
On this card, I used only one Green Tara product, a very special one
indeed: the Mulberry paper! If you have not spotted it already, it is
the purple paper with cherry blossoms that I used as a background for
my tree. It is a beautiful paper, really shimmery.

"Congratulations" card

For this card, I used lots of different Green Tara products.
One of them is a favourite of mine. I don't use it very often because
it is too beautiful to use, and if I use it, I won't have any left! :)
I'm half kidding, but it is truly a beautiful product: it's the
Oval Silver Diamante trim! I also created a flower cluster with
two skeleton leaves, a flower spray and a wild rose. I also
cut two flowers out of a lace ribbon and put them under my wild rose.

"Happy Birthday" cards

On the first card, I combined a skeleton leaf, an oak leaf,
an azalea as well as two mini roses.

On the second card, I used various flowers from a
pack of mixed petals,
an azalea, a skeleton leaf, mini rosebuds as well as mini roses.
I also used a piece of jute ribbon to create a bow.

"Have a nice day" card

For this last card, I used a piece of crushed organza ribbon to create a huge bow.
Then, I used a piece of wire cord to create the antennae and mini roses
to create the body of the butterfly.

In closing, should you be interested in the Silhouette cut files that I
used for this project, please note that they can all be found in the
 Silhouette Online Store under Cards.

Until next time,

"Forget me not" by Vicky Varvadouka

"Forget me not"
*sketch by Nadia Cannizzo

Hello Green Tara friends!!xx

Today I am sharing a special layout with you which is a tribute to my grandmother who is in heaven.

I have used many Green Tara amazing products (what else could I use for a special page??)
In the cluster below you can see a latte heirloom flower in the center and around it there are some cherry blossoms in blue, white & brown roses and a white lace flower!

The magnificent aqua damask is one of my favorites along with cherry blossoms in blue and creme, white paper flowers which I have painted, misted and stamped on, natural skeleton leaves and beautiful lace on the right!!

"Guest book"

In Greece, as we are Orthodox Christians, we have many Christenings during summer so we use guest books at the Church so people can write their wishes for the baby!!

The cover is FULL of Green Tara goodies!!!

On the spine of the album I have attached some pleated organza ribbon and lace ribbon!

In the picture below you can see a dark rose rosette, a cute little pink butterfly, paper flowers which I have stamped on, a pink rose, a small piece from the gorgeous diamante trim and a lace flower!
I have also placed a mauve lace ribbon vertically!

This turquoise tutu flower was just the right color for the cover paper! I have also used a pink lace flower and a white lace flower.
