4	Thunderbolts*	1,099,885	The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe offering, where a bunch of misfits who mostly only know how to punch and shoot, such as former Russian agents Yelena Belova and Alexei Shostakov (whose portrayers Florence Pugh and David Harbour are to left), go after the director of the FBI who is trying to erase evidence of her former shady businesses. Critics and audiences alike praised the film's grounded and character-driven take, that has an unusual climax that doesn't involve beating up the bad guy, and having just broken $325 million to surpass #6 at the global box office, remains to be seen how much Thunderbolts* makes by the time The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives.
5	Final Destination Bloodlines	1,047,191	The trailer for this movie has the description "Death is a relentless son of a ****.", given that 14 years after the fifth and seemingly final of all destinations, again we see the Grim Reaper making people who survived a disaster die in even more painful and elaborate ways. The plot has an extra level this time around: a woman prevented a tower explosion in 1968, and everyone who would've perished, along with their descendants, was targeted in the following decades, and now it's time for her grandkids to meet grisly fates. Reviewers and audiences approved Final Destination Bloodlines* trying to add emotion and depth with the gallons of blood, including a send-off to the one recurring actor, Tony Todd (who plays coroner William Bludworth and died last year), and it not only took the top of the box office from the above movie, but already paid itself with $100 million worldwide costing half of that.
6	Sinners (2025 film)	958,864	Completing the current top 3 of the North American box office is the Michael B. Jordan-starring acclaimed combination of period piece, blues musical, and supernatural horror that between this unusual mixture and not being an adaptation of any sorts has done respectful numbers.
7	Deaths in 2025	943,421	Let me tell you now I never felt like this before Something's Got a Hold on Me that won't let go I believe I'd die if I only could...
8	Andor (TV series)	881,335	The end came for the Disney+ series that told the story of one of the protagonists of Rogue One in a way that was surprisingly very grounded for Star Wars, as one could find rebellious/criminal activities, politics and even a Bollywoodian wedding but no Jedi. Andor was widely considered one of the best things to come out of the franchise.
9	2025 India–Pakistan conflict	716,668	After four days of armed conflict, brought about by the terrorist attack last month, the warring neighboring countries agreed to a ceasefire on May 10. Commercial flights and a sense of normalcy have resumed between them.
10	Sean Combs	702,035	The trial for the rapper who was charged for decades of unruly sexual behavior, usually in his Diddy parties, has begun. One of the witnesses giving a testimony was the first of the lawsuits that led to his imprisonment: his ex #2, who was downright filmed being being beaten by Combs in a hotel hallway.
11	Sabu (wrestler)	635,196	The pioneer of hardcore wrestling in the 1990s died on May 11 at age 61.
12	Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning	562,884	A movie concerning a fight against an evil artificial intelligence was delayed by a year because Hollywood went on strike fearing studios would use AI to screw them over, life is ironic sometimes. In any case theaters were finally getting Part 2 of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, a fairly long deal nearing 3 hours showing Tom Cruise not slowing down as Ethan Hunt after nearly 30 years (#20) and many references to the previous movies of the franchise (except the one agreed to be the worst). Some countries got early screenings before the United States (which is how this here writer already watched it and approved it), and the release this week should make much impact in spite of the strong competition by the family-friendly Lilo & Stitch.
13	Fred West	546,580	Been a while since Netflix pushed some serial killers here... Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story is a three-part documentary on this reprehensible guy who raped and murdered women ever since his teens, with ten of them being with the help of his wife (#25). After one of his daughters denounced being sexually assaulted by him, he eventually went to prison, where he hung himself in 1995.
14	ChatGPT	544,455	Back for one more week, an AI that uses a lot of resources but hasn't turned on mankind like The Entity from #12.
15	"Heil Hitler" (song)	535,724	Kanye West has already expressed admiration for Hitler and sold shirts with swastikas on his website, and now Ye has made a song sampling the Führer as part of a still upcoming album full of attacks on Jews and the like. Needless to say, plenty of controversy ensued and all the streaming platforms removed the song, since replaced by the instrumental "The Heil Symphony".
16	Final Destination	500,923	A horror franchise where the killer is the most difficult to fight: death itself. The formula is someone having a premonition of a disaster, causing a group to avoid becoming fatalities of it, and then elaborate Rube Goldberg machine-like incidents take their lives in messy ways. After a plane explosion, a freeway pile-up, a roller coaster crash, a racetrack accident, and a bridge collapse, #5 has instead the prevention of the disaster, namely a tower explosion, but death is still out to spread some blood.
17	Backlash (2025)	497,394	In continuing storylines brought about from matches during WrestleMania 41 last month, the main event saw John Cena defeat Randy Orton (both pictured) in their final match together, following Cena's announcement that 2025 would be the year he retires from wrestling.
18	Candidates in the 2025 Philippine Senate election	488,054	66 people were trying to become one of the Philippines' 12 Senators. Most of the spots were won by the Alyansa, though the most voted candidate, Bong Go, was from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino.
19	Pope Francis	473,855	Pope Francis…you hold a special place in our hearts.
20	Mission: Impossible (film series)	445,970	In 1996, Tom Cruise starred in an adaptation of an old spy TV show, and he has since returned a lot to the death-defying stunts of agent Ethan Hunt, to the point that even if the eighth movie (#12) is supposedly the last in the series, Cruise has stated that he wouldn't be against doing this until his eighties.
21	JJ (singer)	441,279	Austrian singer-songwriter Johannes Pietsch employed his operatic countertenor in the winner of #3, which he co-wrote with former contestant Teya and a guy named Thomas Thurner.
22	Party-list representation in the House of Representatives of the Philippines	418,444	In due to the election that also brought in our #18 entry, this system is how a fifth of the Philippine House of Representatives is elected. Party-list representatives are determined in a party-list election to determine how many seats the party is given. Party-list representation is supposed to allow underrepresented sectors to represent themselves in the law-making process.
