Add labor contractor, labour brokerage, or labour hire arrangement
[edit]I think it would be worth adding to the 'classifications' section of this template, a classification that matches with labour hire arrangements.
Labour hire arrangements are a situation where an employee is not an independent contractor, but neither are they an employee of their place of work. Instead, they have an employment contract with a 3rd party (whether Hays, Adecco, etc). As they are not an independent contractor, employment laws still apply to them as if they are a regular full-time, part-time, or casual employee.
However labour hire arrangements are still meaningfully distinct from regular employment, as they create a legal shield between an employee and their place of work. For example, labour hire employees are often not covered by workplace-wide agreements, as they are ostensibly not employees of their worksite. (This is less the case in the united states, where there is a 4 stage legal test in place which often causes labor contractors to be covered by workplace agreements even if ostensibly employed by a 3rd party).
The term is referred to as 'labour hire' in Australia, 'labour brokerage' in south africa and Namibia, and sometimes as an 'employment agency' in the UK.

Notes
[edit]I have added | state = {{{state}}}
in an effort to allow editors to specify whether the box should be shown or hidden in an article. See Template:navbox/doc. Bwrs (talk) 00:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
After having to hunt for it, I moved Worker's Comp from attendance to health. WC was invented for when you got hurt at work & so you didn't have to sue the employer. Not about attendance really. Twang (talk) 03:13, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
changing internship for internship here (cfr consequences)
[edit]internship, when you look for the article reference inside the template you must found it in boldface, so you easy identify it, but here: it wasn't so.
- internship, it was so, here, at the template
and you can see that intern is a redirection to internship
ie. internship article, in this template, at its item Roles: a link to a redirection (intern), so it was not visible in boldface instead the normal internal link. Because it's internship.
- Another option may be: changing internship for intern.
Conclusion: I think (in general way) is important not to hide the real link. And in this case it took consequences.
Summary: title of this section: I've changed internship for internship at the template. The aim: not to hide the real link, and avoid the consequence described above. Ciao!

I was wondering if Realistic job preview could be added to the See also section. Kind regards. 2607:FEA8:E09D:C410:D1F7:FF40:4A6C:92E3 (talk) 17:11, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Done - I added it to the Hiring section, as it seemed more fit. Thank you and merry Christmas! ObserveOwl 🎄 (talk) 01:15, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
