Merger proposal
[edit]Currently this article and XFM London duplicate a lot of the histories of both stations, since Radio X is largely a rebranded XFM London. I think it would work a lot better if XFM London was merged into this article to boost the history of Radio X. Cloudbound (talk) 16:29, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
- Agree I think it should be merged, and an Xfm section worked into the Radio X article. Plenty of sources that it's a rebrand available. Phatwa (talk) 20:57, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Requested move 23 December 2015
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus is clearly against this move. (non-admin closure) Egsan Bacon (talk) 07:05, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
– The only station notable enough to have an article, therefore the clear primary topic. See I'm Not the Only One and Taking Over Me for other examples. Unreal7 (talk) 22:39, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose firstly because the rationale is wrong - whether a topic is standalone or not is irrelevant and contrary to disambiguation and titling guidelines. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:10, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- Secondly "Radio X is" in Google Books doesn't at all support the UK station is the absolute majority, more than all others combined. If anything the UK Radio X hardly registers. Radio X (Quebec City) Radio X (Saguenay) Radio X (Montreal) Radio X (Brussels) Radio X (Florida), these redirects need linking through to the formal name. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:25, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose as there's many "Radio X" stations in the world (Radio X (Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), Radio X (Florida), Radio X (Montreal), Radio X (Quebec City), Radio X (Saguenay), Radio X de Québec, Radio X3M .... the list goes on!).. So IMHO there is no PRIMARYTOPIC here... –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 22:17, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose – The nominator does not seem to have adequately considered CHOI-FM (which is called Radio X, as shown on its logo), CKYK-FM, CKLX-FM, and WKPX, as well as some other topics listed on the dab page. —BarrelProof (talk) 08:23, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per Barrel Proof, and the lack of understanding that article titles does not match real world reality where many things have multiple names, and on Wikipedia we can only use one name, so whatever teh article is called on Wikipedia is not the same thing as being the only thing thus named, since other topics may be listed with different article titles, but still mean they have this name -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 07:13, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

Hosts list
[edit]Currently the hosts list seems to be listed in order of presenters timeslot, but this is confusing because of different presenters on different days etc. Could it be rearranged into an alphabetical list? And can the word "Hosts" be changed to something else, maybe "Presenters"? RedScrees (talk) 18:04, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry it's taken a while but I have made the edits as you have suggested. Cloudbound (talk) 20:29, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks Cloudbound, it looks a lot better now :) RedScrees (talk) 23:15, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
