Merge proposal
[edit]The November proposal to merge Nagar parishad] to here seems very reasonable. In modern use, they seems to be synonyms, although I can see that historically the term referred to somewhat smaller units of organization (20,000-100,000 people). Given the current use of the terms a merge seems to be very reasonable. Klbrain (talk) 15:06, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Merge is reasonable, Nagar Parishad/Nagar Palika is the hindi word for Municipal council/Municipality. India has so many languages, so the nomenclature of municipal council/municipality varies from state to state. So Municipal Council/ Municipality is the appropriate term for this article. Pls consider to not impose Hindi, as india has diversity in all aspects: culture, language, etc. 2409:4073:2E9A:2DA0:0:0:DE49:6414 (talk) 03:05, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Redirect, given that there is no unique referenced content to merge. Klbrain (talk) 19:42, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
