- Possible. Ottoman Turkish is sometimes transcribed into modern Turkish phonology, which results in Mehmed becoming Mehmet, etc. I don't know if this is such a case, but if you consider this a reliable source, feel free to add this transliteration. Constantine ✍ 07:42, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Also regarding Ottoman spelling: I wonder if "kehya" is originally written in kha خ /x/ ?
Because if it is, it may be the origin of the family name Kikhia.
