Piotr Michael Walczuk (born March 27, 1988), known professionally as Piotr Michael, is an American voice actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as Yoda in the television series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (2023–present).[2]
Early life
[edit]Piotr Michael was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 27, 1988, to parents of Polish ancestry. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and lived in Taos, New Mexico and Hilo, Hawaii until graduating from high school.[1] He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where studied acting, including improvisational comedy for The Groundlings.[1]
Career
[edit]In 2003, at the age of 15, Michael had his first voice acting role as a fictionalized version of then-US Senator Joe Biden on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which has become a long-running recurring character in the show.
In video games, he has voiced Spock in Star Trek: Resurgence,[3] Phineas Welles in The Outer Worlds,[4] Jason Hudson in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,[5] and the dual role of the Sentinel King and the Dark Lord in Doom Eternal.[6]
While with the Groundlings, Michael performed in the comedy show Desperately Seeking Sunday.[1]
In 2023, he voiced Yoda in the children's television series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,[7] and succeeded the late Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of Iago in the short film Once Upon a Studio to commemorate the centennial of The Walt Disney Company.[8] He also voiced Randall Boggs and Jumba Jookiba in Disney Speedstorm, replacing both the late David Ogden Stiers and Jess Winfield in the latter role.[9]
