Mustapha Haida (born 12 October 1988)[2] is a Moroccan-Italian Muay Thai kickboxer who competes in the middleweight and welterweight divisions. Throughout his career he fought for K-1, GLORY, SUPERKOMBAT, ISKA, WAKO, Kunlun Fight, Bellator Kickboxing, and ONE Championship. He was a former ISKA champion, runner up for the Bellator, ONE Championship Belt and was ranked as a top ten Welterweight by Combat Press from May 2017,[3] until September 2017.[4] Haida holds notable wins over fighters like Andy Souwer, Enriko Kehl, Dzianis Zuev and Abdallah Mabel.

Martial arts career

WAKO

[edit]

Haida fought for the WAKO Intercontinental title against Madické Kamara. He won the fight by a fifth round KO.[5]

Glory

[edit]

Haida made an appearance in Glory, in the event Glory 3, fought against Jordan Watson losing by unanimous decision.

SUPERKOMBAT

Haida made an appearance in SUPERKOMBAT, fought in the event SUPERKOMBAT New Heroes 6 and scored an impressive knockout win over Bogdan Stanciu.

ISKA

Mustapha unsuccessfully challenged for the ISKA Oriental Rules title held by Karim Ghajji, losing by a unanimous decision.[6]

Kunlun

Haida fought in the Kunlun Fight – World MAX 2015 Tournament, he defeated Andy Souwer in the final 16, Dzianis Zuev in the final 8, and fought against Chingiz Allazov in the semi finals losing by unanimous decision.

Venum 72.5 kg Dragons Tournament

Haida fought in the Venum 72.5 kg Dragons Tournament.[7] In the semifinals he scored a first round KO victory over Kader El Kaamouchi, and in the finals won a unanimous decision against Michael Krcmar.[8]

Bellator Kickboxing

Haida fought for the For the Inaugural Bellator Kickboxing Welterweight Championship in a rematch against by Karim Ghajji, lost a split decision in 2016. Haida scored two wins afterwards in the promotion, defeating both Kike Bonnin and Enriko Kehl by decision.

Sanda

Haida participated in the Kung Fu World Championship – 75 KG Contender Sanda Tournament but lost in the semi-finals to Miao Chenlei.

ISKA Title Win

He won the ISKA World Oriental Rules 72.5 kg title with a unanimous decision win over Johane Beausejour.[9]

One Championship

In 2018 Haida scored a knockout win over Daniel Dawson and lost a decision against Nieky Holzken in 2019

He was scheduled to challenge Regian Eersel for the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing title at ONE Championship: Fists Of Fury 3.[10] Eersel won the fight by unanimous decision.[11]

Haida faced Arian Sadiković at ONE: Winter Warriors II on December 17, 2021. He lost the bout via unanimous decision.[12]

K-1

Haida participated in the K-1 World GP 2023: inaugural Middleweight Championship Tournament, defeating Mike Joe in the quarterfinals but losing to Shintaro Matsukura in the semi finals.

Post K-1

In 2024 Haida fought former Glory fighter Jamie Bates and the bout ended in a draw.
