2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

The 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will be the 31st season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season started on February 14 with the Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway and will end with the Craftsman 150 on October 31 at Phoenix Raceway.
Ty Majeski is the defending champion after winning the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title.[1]

Driver changes

[edit]- Daniel Dye will move from the No. 43 truck for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing to drive the No. 10 for Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series.[57]
- Dean Thompson will move from the No. 5 truck for Tricon Garage to drive the No. 26 for Sam Hunt Racing in the Xfinity Series.[58]
- Christian Eckes will vacate the No. 19 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing to drive the No. 16 for Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series.[59] Daniel Hemric will move from the Cup Series to replace Eckes.[8]
- Taylor Gray will vacate the No. 17 for Tricon Garage to drive the No. 54 for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series.[60]
- Nick Sanchez will move up to the Xfinity Series full-time in 2025, driving the No. 48 car for Big Machine Racing.[61]
Full-time rides
[edit]- Kaden Honeycutt will drive full-time in the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports, after driving part-time for the team in 2024.[16]
- Dawson Sutton will drive full-time in the No. 26 for Rackley W.A.R., after driving part-time for the team in 2024.[17]
- Frankie Muniz will drive the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing full-time, after driving part-time for the team in 2024.[33]
- Daniel Hemric will drive the No. 19 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing full-time, after driving full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024.
- Toni Breidinger will drive the No. 5 for Tricon Garage full-time, after driving part-time for the team in 2024.[40]
- Gio Ruggiero will drive the No. 17 for Tricon Garage full-time, after driving in the ARCA Menards Series East in 2024.[43]
- Connor Mosack will drive the No. 81 (former No. 43) for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing full-time, after driving part-time in the Truck Series in 2024.[10]
- Jack Wood will drive the No. 91 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing full-time, after driving part-time in the Truck Series in 2024.[11]
- Chandler Smith will drive the No. 38 for Front Row Motorsports in 2025 after running full-time in the Xfinity Series from 2023 to 2024.[29]
- Andrés Pérez de Lara will be driving the No. 77 for Spire Motorsports after having won the ARCA Menards Series in 2024.[62]
Free agents
[edit]- Conner Jones will not be returning to ThorSport Racing.[63]
Team changes
[edit]- Bret Holmes Racing shut down its operations at the end of the 2024 season, with Late Model team owner Chris Hettinger purchasing the team's assets and renaming it Hettinger Racing.[64]
- Reaume Brothers Racing will expand to three full-time teams after acquiring the No. 2 Rev Racing entry.[30]
Schedule
[edit]The 2025 schedule was released on August 29, 2024 and consists of 22 oval races and 3 road course races.[65] The schedule has 25 races for the first time since 2011. With the season-finale at Phoenix being on October 31, the season will finish in the month of October for the first time since 2000.

- Race names and title sponsors are subject to change. Not all title sponsors/names of races have been announced for 2025. For the races where a 2025 name and title sponsor has yet to be announced, the title sponsors/names of those races in 2024 are listed.
- The Triple Truck Challenge races are listed in bold.

Schedule changes

[edit]- Rockingham is on the schedule for the first time since 2013.
- Michigan is on the schedule for the first time since 2020.
- Lime Rock Park, a road course in Connecticut, is on the Truck Series schedule for the first time.
- Watkins Glen is on the schedule for the first time since 2021 and for only the second time since 2000.
- New Hampshire is on the schedule for the first time since 2017.
- The Charlotte Roval will have a Truck Series race for the first time.
Removed races
[edit]- Circuit of the Americas will not be on the schedule in 2025. It is the first time since NASCAR started racing there in 2021 that the track will not have a Truck Series race.
- Gateway will not be on the schedule for the first time since 2013.
- Milwaukee will not be on the schedule for the first time since 2022.[67]
- The fall race at Kansas was taken off the schedule. The track will have only one Truck Series race for the first time since 2021.
Date changes
[edit]- Homestead–Miami moves from October to March.
- Nashville moves from June to May.
- Pocono moves from July to June.
- The race at Darlington moves from May to Labor Day weekend and will be run on the same weekend as the Cup Series' Southern 500 instead of on the track's spring Cup Series race weekend.
