Gaozhou(traditional Chinese: 高州; simplified Chinese: 高州; pinyin: gāozhōu; Yale Cantonese: Kochow; Gaoyan dialect:Kochow) one of the county-level cities in Guangdong Province, Is under the jurisdiction of Maoming City, Guangdong Province, Located in the southwest of Guangdong, In the upper reaches of the Kam River,Near south China sea, Northwestward adjacent to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.It has population of 1500000 as of 2002,Total area of 3276 square kilometers.
