Welcome to WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state). We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of articles related to the U.S.state of Georgia.
The goal of this WikiProject is to provide complete coverage on subjects related to Georgia, by expanding articles on people, places, and things related to Georgia.
This project proposes to work with all pages related to the state of Georgia, its history, geography, and people. These articles should all be included in the Category:Georgia (U.S. state) or one of its subcategories.
To request an image for an article, use the "imageneeded=yes" parameter in the {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)}} article talk page template. Please use the "in=" parameter in the {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)}} template to specify the Georgia county where the photograph may be taken. Up to three locations may be specified, such as {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)|class=Start|importance=Low|imageneeded=yes|in=Fulton County, Georgia|in2=Putnam County, Georgia|in3=Taliaferro County, Georgia|nested=|unref=yes}}
If you need to specify four or more locations (such as a road passing through eight Georgia counties), use {{Image requested}} and its multiple "in=" parameters.
Task forces are meant to provide centralized information and discussion for topics that have a sufficiently large scope. The advantages of establishing a new group as a task force or work group within an existing project are that generally, task forces require fewer members to be effective and do not have the same degree of required project maintenance, as much of that is taken on by the parent project. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)/Task forces and work groups for more information.
