Coyote is spelled the same in English and Spanish. It is derived from Nahuatl (Aztec). My question is why is the first syllable in English pronounced "Ki" and not "Co" as in the Spanish. Is "Co" frequently pronounced "Ki" in English? -- GreenC04:08, 9 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
