Working on a new album cover illustration. Usually I like to draw the whole picture on a one sheet of paper, but this time I wanted to get more details and decided to draw most of the things separately and combine them later.
Most of the trees are almost done.

Will you walk with me through this desert?

Chopping wood

 It has been a bit quiet here, but that's because I moved to a big old school building in the countryside and most of my time goes to all kinds of chores involving the house; burying big birds that fly through the windows, building a composter, setting traps for mice, cleaning up the yard etc. and of course chopping some wood with our trusted axe , Erkki.

On a rare occasion I have some time to draw something, like these illustrations for Hopperi magazine (RAY), for an article about addictions.

Since everything new I have started to draw in a couple of days seems to be total crap, I picked up an old one from The Great Pile of Unfinished Drawings and finished this pencil sketch.

Tattoo design

A friend of mine wanted a tattoo of a tree and a rainbow on her back, so I drew a tattoo design for her. I eagerly wait what the tattoo artist can make out of this.

Exhibition @ Kouta-gallery / Poikilo - Kouvola Art Museum / 2.7.-21.7.2013

Well, it's been awhile. I haven't been doing any personal drawings lately and been busy with other things, like doing collages for my exhibition in Kouta-gallery. The exhibition is open 2.7.- 21.7.2013

Now that the work for the exhibition is done, I'll take a break from the collages and start drawing something and get this blog on it's regular pace again.

I have these constant delusions about quick drawings. Things may start as something simple, like this did, but then I add some details and maybe a little more details and then finally there's nothing quick about it.  Have to give my aching wrist some rest before I do the rest of the patterns on the dress.

Skygods LP

LP version of the Demonic Death Judge album Skygods to which I did the cover image. Too bad so few bands make LP releases anymore, because this is looking so great!

Collages for the VALOA! group exhibition

One more post about the collages, then I'm moving back to drawings for a while.

Finished 13 collages for the VALOA! - group exhibition at Kuusankoskitalon Galleria, and now they are hanging on the gallery wall and I can concentrate on other things.
