I love this verbena salvia -oops. It just keeps on performing and maintains the flowers for a long time. It spreads and grows taller and fuller every year. I will have to thin it out soon. I may come home with more flowers today since I am making a trip to Home Depot for lovely flowers for my mom.
Shasta Daisy
Dainthus
More Begonia's. Thought the caladiums were history when I redid this garden bed.
Mandevilla
This was an unhappy hydrangea for the past 2 years so I moved it to a new bed and it is thriving now.
Endless Summer Hydrangea
Zinnia Green Envy
This one is a darker shade of green
Snapdragon
Strawberry dianthus
Butterfly Bush Budleia
Hibuscus
I want to collect some seeds this year. I have never tried collecting seeds till 2 years ago. I am learning.
I am wanting to collect seeds from this beautiful hibuscus but the entire bloom falls from the tiny shrub with every bloom as soon as the bloom is done. The blooms only last about a day. You can see in the photo below where the one from yesterday fell.

In this photo you can see the elbow I find on all of the blooms and this is where it breaks from. Any ideas how I can collect seeds from this plant. Is this normal?
Hope you all have a great weekend.

You have some lovely bloomers Becca.
Your Mandevilla looks like mine. Do you have a name for yours? I didn't get a name with mine.
Glad your caladiums came back for you. They always surprise me and are a treat.
I don't know about collecting seeds from hibiscus. Like you say, the flowers only last a day and fall off. You might want to try your hand at cuttings to get more from this plant. It sure is a lovely color.
Have a GREAT weekend ~ FlowerLady
Everything looks great. That is a Salvia not a Verbena Becky..when the flowers fade, cut them off and more will bloom. Looks like my blue beddar salvia...all hibiscus do not make seeds, I don't believe your jane cowell one will.
They all look so pretty, Becca. I especially like your hydrangea and your hibiscus. I hope you have a nice weekend! :-)
What a beautiful garden you have...so many pretty flowers...I am loving your hibiscus, beautiful color! Wishing you a beautiful weekend! All the best, Hugs
Beautiful plant photography. Your garden must be fabulous. In Florida, we air layer our hibiscus. Ever tried that? It's pretty easy and you get a duplicate of your plant. There are a couple of delightful posts on youtube for air layering, plus Google. Might want to give it a try. Have a lovely Mother's Day!
I am envious of the zinnia green envy!!! Gorgeous!
I always love your begonias, so full and healthy. You have so many more plants blooming, zinnias are not anywhere near blooming for me.

Your blooms are lovely. The first image does indeed look like a salvia. They do really well in my area.
I love the green flower. Envy it was, cool name too.
Becca your Salvia is so pretty. I love that hibiscus and drool every time I see it. LOL! You might want to try cuttings.
Happy Mothers day to you.

That Salvia is a great addition to any flower bed. 'Victoria Blue' I believe..they have a white one too.
Try to roots some cuttings from that Hibiscus..I am not sure that they form seeds..and even if they do it would probably take forever for them to germinate. Air Layering might be a great option too like that one gal suggested.
Your flowers are looking good!:)
Love your hibiscus and oh that veronica....... everything is looking so happy and healthy
