1990: Danny DeVito worked as a beautician
Danny DeVito told Terry Wogan in 1990 that one of his earliest jobs was working in his sister's beauty parlor.
The actor, who appears in Beetlejuice 2, said that after he had finished high school there didn't seem to be much work for him to do in his hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey.
His sister Angela, who owned a beauty salon, one day said to him "why don't you learn how to do hair and come to work for me in the beauty parlour".
"Anyway I took her up on it. She paid my way through this beauty school and I went for six months and I learnt how to cut hair and shampoo and set, and do perms and stuff.
"And I worked there for a year and a half. Good times, I tell you. A lot of good times, it was outrageous," he said.
