On television, Gabriel co-stars in the popular TNT sci-fi series Falling Skies, produced by Steven Spielberg. She has also guest starred in the comedy-drama series Weeds and Zoey 101 and appeared in an episode of Miami Medical. When she is not working, Gabriel enjoys playing the guitar and piano.

Trivia[]

  • Gabriel originally auditioned for the role of Katara in The Last Airbender but subsequently lost out to Nicola Peltz. About six months later, she was asked to audition for Princess Yue and was offered the role four months after that callback.[3]
  • Gabriel originally auditioned for the voice of Korra in The Legend of Korra but was cast as the voice of Asami Sato instead.[4]
  • Asami Sato was Gabriel's first voice acting role.
  • Gabriel initially remembered Asami's name because it sounded like "salami".[5]
  • Gabriel's favorite character in The Legend of Korra is Lin Beifong.[6]
  • If she could be a bender, Gabriel would be an earthbender, specifically a "gembender" like Jargala Omo who bends jennamite, as she has had a fascination with the element ever since watching Avatar: The Last Airbender.[6]
  • Gabriel participated in a live reading of Turf Wars Part One with Janet Varney on April 6, 2020, where she reprised her role of Asami Sato, as well as providing the voices of Senna and the rock spirit.[6] She also took part in a second live reading with Varney and joined by fellow Korra voice actors P. J. Byrne, David Faustino, and Mindy Sterling on May 27, where she voiced Asami, Two Toed Ping, and Zhu Li Moon.[7]
