I will start posting regularly again after the New Year 2010 begins. Last year my word for 2009 was Prosperity, unfortunately in this economy that was not a good choice,,haha.    I am contemplating my word for 2010......

I have been neglecting my blog lately...been pretty busy  at this time of year pet sitting at different places,.  I'll try to take some photos this weekennd and give you something interesting ..hah In the meantime, have a great weekend and don;t stress over the holidaze!  Peace and LoVe

Gopher tortoise......I am a little slow in posting..ahem...Today was the last day for Art Every Day for the month of November! I was able to fulfill all but 5 days of some type of art! It was a great challenge. December is really busy , which is good, but in between I will be creating for Christmas and will get some posts in. If I don't get around to your blogs as much , it is only because I am going to be pet sitting at different houses plus doing the Christmas creative madness and won't have as much time! Lots going on! 2 more days of art....' Imaginary People'Island Princess (titled by my neice, Miss O. )

Even though i haven't posted, I have been doing Art almost every day. I didn't foresee getting the flu ( which knocked me out) so unfortunately I missed 4 days. Below is another mixed media ..."Two Crazy Birds" It's fun to title the paintings.I made some greeting cards out of stacks of paper and ephemera .
Pet sitting duties are calling me again over T Day holidays...no computer there. Aieee. Santa needs to bring me a laptop! The weather is fabulous ! Yesterday I went to my fave shop Anthropologie and got lots of inspiration. Love that store but ridiculously over priced. Uh, Christmas is very close and I need to get crack a lackin' on crafts! Yikes. Peace and love, ya'll

I've been away at a pet sitting job for this cutie! She is a Catahoula puppy named Wichita! I got a little Flu bug so am trying to get over that ickiness. Will post more later

And now, for something completely different. This weekend I continued with my Art Every Day...but since I was going to be away from home ... took limited art supplies of pastels and paper cut in 4ths. . I ended up with what I call very organic abstract shapes. They just sort of evolved . I haven't done abstracts since the 70's. This was fun ! For the first time in eons..I am feeling so free and easy with my art..like it is truly flowing from my soul. It may not look like much,but I honestly love it ....Love that it is coming from that passionate place. The real me. that is the reason I took up the Art Every Day challenge....because it is not a challenge for me at this point!

Arts Festival at the Seminole reservation was so coolthe fabulous colors and workmanship were beyond description. I really wanted a skirt, but they were $325 and worth every penny.
I drove miles to get there! halfway to Miami!

I have been creating art every day..but am on a pet sitting job and can't upload photos til later. Here's a photo from a previous post ..just so you can have something to look at. This weekend I went to the American Native Arts and Crafts Festival on the Seminole Reservation in Big Cypress Florida. It was incredible and gorgeous. On Saturday I scored at a yardsale on many levels..hah will post on that later. Peace and Love to all...!

Day 4 Art

My art today is a photograph of tonight's fabulous evening sky. It is really NOT my art...but Nature's! Today was another long day filled with good things... Tonight I went to a wine Tasting at my neighborhood Coffee and wine cafe..C Grape. I met some more new folks and made a friend or 2. I will take pics of C Grape's to show you. It is a small cafe with friendly owners who are truly all about a laid back atmosphere . I go there for coffee 2 or 3 times during the week. This is definitely my CHEERS.

Day 3.. AEDM

Art Every Day Month ..November. "Woman with Bird" oil pastels, water color.,pencils, layers of acrylics.. I am still working on this one..so she might be up again tomorrow! I had a big day today..meeting a couple of new Pet Sitting clients plus a house cleaning/redecorating for a really nice woman who winters here in the Tropics..her house is so cool! I have met the nicest,, friendliest folks. I love having my own little 'business" much better than working for the man! ha. Slowly , but surely I am building a client base. Anyway, I was pretty worn out , but I was looking forward to creating more art...Wow..I just remember the times when I couldn't' do art to save my soul! Thank you Universe.
