Birthday Wishes

Amberpunchcardajhcopy

Welcome to another Paper Pretties challenge. The challenge this week is to use punches.

I used Cursive Greetings II for my clean and simple card. As for the punches… I used a border punch on the strips of design paper and the photo corner punch on my sentiment banner. Did a faux layer with the banner using a black marker.I also used the Craft-Dee BowZ maker to make my bow and then I attached a button to the bow using Helmar 450 glue.

Digi Challenge Blog…..

closeupMothersdayajh

Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps  is hosting a brand new challenge each Friday… a Sweet ‘n Sassy DIGI challenge!! And I was asked to be on the Digi challenge team as my time was up over at Sweet ‘n Sassy Design Divas.

Today’s first Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi challenge is to make a Mother’s Day card. I used One of a Kind Digital Stamp for my card and printed it twice on Neenah Cardstock. Then I used copics to color both images, cut out the birds and the leaves. Attached them to the other colored image with glue dots and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

closeupMothersdayajh

I sized the sentiment to fit right below the image before I printed it out. Used Spellbinders oval nestie and scallop nestie for image and layer. Did some faux stitching on the pattern paper and added some pearl swirls. Border punch was used on the green.

If not, head back to the Paper Pretties Blog to see the beginning.

I used Give a Hoot by Paper Pretties for my card. Colored the owls with copics, stamped their heads two extra times so that I could layer them using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

Since the set is acrylic, I was able to cut the wording apart so I could stamp it how I wanted it on the circle. Added some bling and a bow using the bow easy.

Baking Bethany

Bethanypieajhcopy

Such a blah, cold, wet day here that I don’t feel like doing anything. I  did color yesterday so decided to make a card with one of the colored images. I played along with the Featured Stamper211 and used a newly released digi Bethany Baking from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

I cased this card of StampGroover. Changed image, color and added border punch to the sides.  Colored my image with copics, printed the tree twice and cut it out and attached it with Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to give it some dimension. Misc designer paper used and border punch used on the gray.

Paper Pretties Challenge

lovebugsketchajhcopy

Well today starts the “official” beginning of the new Paper Pretties Design Team. Wednesday is also the day that Paper Pretties holds their challenge over at their blog.  Our challenge this week is a sketch:

PWC135-Sketch

I used Paper Pretties Love Bugs set. Colored with copics and prismacolor pencils that were blended with odorless mineral spirits. I used an oval coluzzle to cut out my shape, making the image out of the box. The design paper is Paper Studio Mirabelle. Added some brads on the sides and with the sentiment. Both the image and sentiment are on Helmar Zapdots to give dimension.

Head over to Paper Pretties blog to see what the rest of the design team has done with the sketch and enter yourself! Can’t wait to see your creations.

MyGrafico #69 – Send in the Clowns

GerClowncopy

This week’s challenge at MyGrafico is to pop it up. Joyful clowns and Circus paper is what we were to use.

We have a Harvest party every year at our church were the kids dress up and sometimes the adults get into it too. In 2005, my husband decided to dress up as a clown. He did his own face painting and even decorated his own shirt.

I  colored the clowns with copics, added stickles to them and used Helmar Liquid ScrapDots to pop up the clowns with ever other one popped up just a little more. Used three of the digi Circus papers for behind my clown.

Layout comes from Stickers ‘n Fun, Sept.2008.  I’ve left my layout blank as I haven’t figured out if I want a title or any wording of any kind. I kinda like the clean look. What do you think?

OCLDT28 sketch

snowfrogajh

Our Craft Lounge sketch this week is such a cute one that I had to play. I used one of the new sets, Under the Misletoad, and combined it with a few challenges on SplitCoastStampers: Try New Technique287 – Sparkly Stained Glass and Free For All27 – Think Snow….Man. (it was hard to get a good picture of the card because of the acetate)

I used so much glitter on the frog, it wasn’t funny, green, brown, black, blue, red, white! Used Helmar V2 Vellum spray to attach my acetate to my nestie. On the nestie I stamped the tree and colored with copics, added some stickles to the star and balls/stripes on the tree. using a white gel pen I made some ‘snowflakes’ in the background. On the front of the acetate, I added some Sugar SparklyFluff for my snow.  The gifts are on pop dot, colored with copics and added white with gel pen.  Used ColorCore Cardstock for middle piece that I used my “man” tool on, Sandpaper, to distress the snowflakes to show the core color of the paper.

Come play with us over at The Lounge.

HappyCupcakeajhcopy

This week we were challenged to have some sewing on our card. We also used the freebie image, Just Ducky, which you too can have and play along with us! Just check out Paper Cupcake’s blog for all the details.

For my Just Ducky card, I used liquid appliqué on the cupcake and attached the ducky over top of itself using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

closeup

Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits were used. Added a little Flower Soft for some grass. My sewing is all around the card. Not sure how hard it is to see but my little metal plate says “Happy”. I left the tag blank for now.

MyGrafico Challenge #60 – Vintage

closeupcopy
Welcome to another MyGrafico challenge. Today we were asked to make a vintage looking card using Wild Flowers by Mels Brushes.

I wanted my flower to be really 3-D so I printed the flower out 4 times and layered it using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. The top layer, I cut each petal apart to layer at different depths.

closeupcopy
I used copics and the feather method to color the each flower, added stickles to the middle of the flower, Even the leaves are 3-D, only printed them out 3 times, and also colored them with copics.

Added a rub-on to the panel and some faux stitching to the edge. Paper comes from DCWV The Once upon A Time mat stack.

Thinkingofyouajhcopy

Remember the food labels I showed you the other day? The little flower on there was also from Wild Flowers. I used prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits for the flowers. Distressed the edges of the top note with blue ink. Computer generated the words. Just that little touch of the flower spruced up the labels.

DSCF9987
Had to add this picture, it’s my favorite.

So would you like to win this Flower set? Then come join us over at MyGrafico challenge blog and play along. Can’t wait to see your creations.

I’ll be back in a bit with the winner from my blog candy.

Crafty Sentiment Blog Hop!

frenchfrysuckerajhcopy

Hello. You should have just come from Tammylee’s blog, if not then I’ll wait right here while you start at the beginning which is at Crafty Sentiment Blog. There is a  prize of the full set of Pat & Boo Bear, BUT you have to comment on all our blogs (main blog included), follow and mention it on your blog. (details are all on the Crafty Sentiment blog.)

For the hop, we were to make something other then a regular card. I went with “french fry” box by MyGrafico from their Box Bonanza set. I cut it out by hand but it also has SVG files to cut with your Cricut!. I ran the box through the cuttlebug first before assembling it.

Boo Bear was colored with copics, sparkly fluff is on his belly and his head tilts.
closeupTiltBoobear copy He was cut out completely and is up on Helmar ZapDots so his head can tilt and rick rack is attached with Helmar Premium Craft Glue.

I filled the box with suckers but you can fill it with anything.
frenchfrysuckerajhcopy
Here is  top view of it without the suckers.
