"Ghost Hosts" is the second segment of the thirty-fifth episode of Vampirina. It aired on June 28, 2019 and is the second segment of the tenth episode of the second season.
Synopsis[]
Vampirina and her friends fill in as hosts of Edgar’s “Weekly Weirdness” show when he becomes sick.
Plot[]
After watching another edition of Weekly Weirdness, Edgar needs one more follower when he sneezes, as he is sick. Meanwhile, Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget finish their performance when Edgar arrives, stating how many followers he has before he sneezes. Edna tells him that he needs to rest in bed, although he needs to record another episode of Weekly Weirdness so that he can have ten followers. So, Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget decide to make a video for Edgar, as they can use their new song for tomorrow's show. Edgar is unsure about it, and since he is continuing to sneeze, he returns home to rest.
Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget are performing their song with Demi recording. After the performance, Vampirina publishes the recording online, and hopes everybody likes it, as more people watching would make Edgar feel great. The next morning, Vampirina finds out that the video got one hundred and ninety-nine followers, and Poppy and Bridget notice it, as well. Vampirina then decides to make more videos, as Edgar is still sick. Poppy is unsure of it, as Edgar is picky about what goes on in his show. Vampirina states that they'd be doing him a favor and just until he's better. The others agree to the plan.
To get more people to watch the videos, Demi decides to make the videos go viral. Poppy, Bridget, and Demi each share on what they like to watch. Vampirina has some more ideas for the videos, and she, Poppy, and Bridget go to work on them. First up is the present containing Chef Remy Bones' skull, and he then goes to take care of his soufflé. Vampirina is excited, and decides to make more exciting stuff for the next video. The more videos made, the more followers Edgar gets. Eventually, Edgar returns, feeling better. Vampirina mentions the new followers Edgar has, and she mentions the new videos. Edgar states that cats are boring, and states that he'll stick with monsters for other kids who like monsters. Vampirina decides to help make a cool monster video, and decides on werewolves. However, Edgar is unsure of it, but eventually accepts.
Edgar is then dressed like someone else. Vampirina then records the video, and the werewolves dance, leading to Edgar wanting the video to be stopped. He states that the glittery jacket and silly hair isn't him, as he likes all things spooky. He states that as long as he gets to make the monster videos he loves, he's happy, and so are his followers. Edgar then leaves. Later, Vampirina states that she wanted to make Edgar happy, but Poppy states that she changed the show, making it a whole different thing. It was about what Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget like, and they had to make Edgar do his own thing, as that's what true friends do.
Vampirina tells Edgar that he has to come back to Weekly Weirdness, and apologizes for trying to change the show and him. Edgar is cool the way he is, and he says the same thing to Vampirina. They then decide to film The Tale of the Werewolf, Part 57. Later, Vampirina and the others watch the recording, and Edgar then receives his tenth follower.
