背景

一些維基百科文章是針對較高閱讀程度的讀者編寫——例如按照 Flesch–Kincaid 可讀性測試指標 （這個指標表示了美國從小學一年級到高中三年級適合的閱讀水平，數字越大，文章就越困難）。有關多巴胺英文文章的標題得分是大學畢業生的水準。與此同時，以英語為母語的成人平均閱讀程度是 14-15 歲學生（美國 9 年級）的程度，而經常閱讀英文維基百科的非英語母語人士的閱讀程度可能更低。這同樣適用於維基百科的許多其他語言版本。
