the love of my life
i met my boyfriend in april 2022, though we wouldn't meet in person until june. ever since we entered into each other's lives, i couldn't imagine my life without him. i loved his mind; how differently his thought processes were than mine. i fell in love with his heart and the compassion he has for others. our values were so similar, so in sync; everything felt like it was meant to be. finally, my person—the one i had waited so long for. i've never felt so deeply that i wanted someone to succeed and be happy, even if that doesn't involve me—his happiness means everything to me.

he has never once judged me, disparaged me, or made me feel less than. he loved me when he met me, and even before then. it's a love that i've never personally known before him, and one that i feel comes once in a lifetime. he has made me feel loved every day of my life with him—he is everything i had dreamed of and more.
sometimes, i think i've reached a limit of how much i could love one person; that surely, this is it. and yet, he'll do or say something that just makes me fall even more for him, something i'm never sure possible until it actually happens. he proves me wrong every time, and i'm so grateful for it. i'm thankful for him in my life, for making it better and, at the same time, complementing my life so beautifully that there's no way we weren't meant to be in this universe or another.
my only regret is that it took until our 30s to meet, but i intend to spend the rest of my life with him, making up for lost time.
