Today, War Child’s focus remains on the over 7 million children in Syria who need humanitarian aid.
We hope the scenes we are seeing mark an end to the nearly 14 years of shelling, bombing, war and tyranny that has resulted in the deaths of more than 30,000 children and devastated the lives of countless more.
Since 2012, War Child teams and partners on the ground have helped tens-of-thousands of children in their recovery from the deep psychological scars that the war has inflicted upon them and hundreds-of-thousands more through our education programmes supporting teachers and schools.
While we continue to monitor the situation closely, War Child will be in Syria supporting children for many years to come, and long after the world’s attention has moved on.
