Cara Payne | In my role at Brandwidth I am responsible for understanding the potential of new technology and the opportunities it can provide our clients. I work with our creative and development team to push the boundaries of VR and ensure that our client services team are taken on the journey so that as we understand more about new technology it's shared across the business, and ultimately drives new work. I have mainly worked with the Nokia OZO in terms of VR film production and created environments in Unity, creating content for a multitude of clients but mainly hosted in an App. All work to date has come with its challenges in terms of educating clients about the differences in VR projects compared to traditional digital projects and establishing a new approval process, defining customer journeys and UX strategy for VR, understanding the type of content that works well in VR as well as the headset differences and how to enhance the overall experience with new types of assets. I think I can bring a lot of this thinking to the session and ideas about how to widen understanding of VR to those that are not around it constantly. I am also used to working with developers that create content for VR and making sure that they have the right information upfront to create the right experience so am at the helm of the type of challenges that come from the technical and creative side as well as the business side. Dean Johnson, Head of Innovation at Brandwidth recently spent 48 hours in VR https://www.engadget.com/2017/06/07/two-people-spent-48-hours-in-nonstop-virtual-reality/ so I am also immersed in new ways of thinking about VR as well as the day to day production. I'm really interested in the topics for this session and understanding the challenges that other content creators face in developing ideas and exploiting the overall potential of this technology. |

Nikolay Babanov | Making connections and disscussing current issues regarding WebVR and WebGL development. |
Cara Payne | As a pioneer for accessibility in web projects I'm really interested in discussing how VR can have accessibility standards created as this is not something that has been explored properly yet and is so important for the future of VR. Documenting the best way to create assets for VR is also an area of interest, not just in the actual production phase but beforehand, when trying to establish how a VR experience will look and feel before the development starts. I'm also interested in the future of VR across different industries and increasing the interaction in VR experiences, for example payment gateways, advertising in VR and data capture which I feel have not been exploited to their full potential and could offer opportunities for a wide range of industries, from charities through to big corporates. Taking VR from a passive to fully immersive experience that works for the majority rather than the minority is a key area to be explored and understanding the tools that can be used to fully immerse users in their experience is critical to achieving this. Mostly gaining a wider understanding of the thought processes that other content creators go through and discussing the future potential for integrating with other types of technology like AR would be so beneficial to ongoing Web VR work. |

quasi Ruben | I want to create a webVR knowledge base for my project FAL Chronicles |
Salvador de la Puente González | |
Jean Bastien Voisin | With VR creating disruptive innovation products and services that consumers want. Today the cost of HW is not anymore a barrier (Cardboard, HTC Vive headset, Eye-trakers, …), easy applications deployment for multiple VR experiences is a must: - Standardized VR contents - Standardized VR platforms Applications: 1. Digital transformation & industrialization of 3D VR packaging assets (VR Packshots experience) see: VRiDigital (https://youtu.be/8i7R-HQ5sQM?t=7s) 2. Indira Knight | To find out more about how people are using WebVR, what are the problems and what are the solutions. I am particulaly interested in how content creation can be made easier, and how it can be made more accessible |
Jan Van Opstal | System design for Mixed Reality on stage performances. |
Kaarlo Kananen | |
Aurelien Merceron | Learning, see possibilities and share with others |
Daniela Georgieva | Find applications of VR in data visualization & management of big statistical data. |
Ruth John | I have a particular interest in sound design in this space and to see how it is being considered (if at all) and also that the technologies we have available to us (for instance the web audio API panner node) is sufficient for the growth in this area. |

Andrew Ayling | Currently one of the biggest challenges to growing the usage of VR nad AR is not the creative process, but is the delivery to a mass-audience without the need for expensive and specialised equipment. Another challenge is the integration of a VR experience into an establsihed digital user journey - for example the ecommerce user journey: product promotion - selection and configuration - ordering/fulfilment |

Either directly by improving those tools and process or by showcasing what worked so that alternatives frameworks can learn from their advances. |

Thomas Balouet | I think one of the most interesting thing will be discussing with browser vendors on how we can improve WebVR experiences by directly including features (like accessibility through different types of controllers, 360° media playing, headset progressive enhancement...) in the browsers themselves. |
Daniel Beauchamp | I think we should start talking about payments. WebPayments is already a thing. Can we talk about how that integrates with VR ready browsers? |
Alberto Elias | Another major issue for the WebVR compatible Web is Identity, I'm working on an identity system based on other spec developments. Wrote about it here: https://github.com/WebOfTrustInfo/rebooting-the-web-of-trust-fall2017/blob/master/topics-and-advance-readings/did-3d-web.md |

Youri Gicquel | |
Daniel van der Stam | None at the moment |
Marko Kungla | I see as one standardization opportunities for browser vendors to agree WebVR benchmarking, testing and bug reporting tools report formats etc. Which would engage community to be more helpful so that every cutting edge browser would not give bleeding-experience. |
Martin Edström | |
Kevin Derksen | I think WebVR is going to be an important factor in bringing VR closer to the mainstream platform it has the potential to become. As VR Developer I want to keep exploring the possibilities of WebVR. |

Gunita Kulikovska | This form is killing all the expectations... we seriously need to think about design and user experience, guys! |

Ada Rose Cannon | I am really invested in declarative WebVR I would like to see HTML be able to handle many common usecases without the need to resort to WebGL. |
Fabien Benetou | A brief discussion on WebAR and WebXR will be relevant since a lot of the tools, assets and problematic are shared. At least a discussion a future agenda on what can be re-used without hi-jacking WebVR as the main topic of the discussion would be useful. |

Bart Meinders | Extension towards WebXR by embracing WebAR. |
Roland Dubois | IMHO VR content should be shared via the open and inclusive web and not tied to and controlled by a few big players (Google, Facebook) VR content should not be forced through an app store distribution channel for a specific set of hardware but shared via URL in a progressively enhanced manner. https://medium.com/@rolanddubois/vr-gets-real-174fdafcad4f https://hacks.mozilla.org/2017/03/a-practitioners-perspective-on-a-frame-interview-with-roland-dubois/ |
