Pour Yourself a Drink: Post Malone Made a Country Song With Blake Shelton

Post Malone got some more help on his country pivot. The hitmaker teamed with Blake Shelton for “Pour Me a Drink,” a statement that might make you want to pour yourself a round. But somehow, Posty makes a past-his-prime Shelton sound good! The two trade down-on-their-luck lyrics on this rollicking, ’90s-ish country earworm that goes heavy on the fiddle. “Drink” follows Malone’s record-hitting “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen, which is set to be the top song in America for a sixth week running. Good news for Shelton, who’s been on a bit of a drought for No. 1s lately. Looks like Posty’s become the helper now.

“Drink” is the latest offering from Post Malone’s long-teased country album, which now has a name: F-1 Trillion. It’s out August 16 and reportedly has 18 tracks. One of those will also be “Never Love You Again,” which Posty did at the ACMs. He’s sure to have a lot more help, but at this point, does he even need it?
