election anxiety

The Bravo Audience Calls It for Kamala

Okay! This seems… good? Photo: Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen via YouTube

If you need to quell your election anxiety, here’s something: The Watch What Happens Live! home viewing audience just overwhelmingly voted for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in an informal poll. “Okay,” you say. “That isn’t particularly notable, the Bravo audience is probably super Dem-skewing.” Think again! In the 2016 election, between Trump and Clinton, they ran a similar live poll and Trump won it. That’s right — the WWHL poll would have given you clearer results than reading Nate Silver in 2016. That means that either the Bravo audience since 2016 has wildly shifted to the left or there are just some 2016 Trump voters who are now voting Harris. Even Andy Cohen seemed surprised by the shift: “I thought that was gonna go the other way,” he said when the final vote ended up at 74 percent Harris to 26 percent Trump. And for those few moments, before we went back to scrolling, all was calm.
