Making your actor boyfriend your music-video love interest may be all the rage right now, but Ariana Grande had other plans in her “the boy is mine” video. After all, someone had to flip the script on TV’s favorite stalker, Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg in You. In the eternal sunshine clip, Badgley plays the handsome mayor of a city dealing with a rat problem, and Grande is an obsessed fan determined to get him. So obviously she pretty much becomes Catwoman and stalks her way right into his house. Badgley isn’t the only stunt casting here — Brandy and Monica themselves show up to endorse the song as a pair of newscasters. And Grande even got her Victorious castmate Elizabeth Gillies involved too as the voice of those rats. Seems like the only person who’s missing from this set was the boy who’s actually Grande’s.
