CBS Freshman Series Reign Supreme With Full Slate of Renewals

CBS has renewed all five of its freshman series: dramas Eviland All Rise and comedies Carol’s Second Act, The Unicorn, and Bob ♥ Abishola. Evilwill wrap its first season on January 30 and return for a second season in 2020–21, while All Rise, Carol’s Second Act, The Unicorn, and Bob ♥ Abishola were all given full-season orders. All Rise was the most-watched new series on broadcast TV this fall, with more than 8 million viewers each week. “These terrific new series have attracted a passionate base of viewers and consistent ratings while delivering entertaining, inclusive and relevant storytelling every week,” said Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment. Guess this means we’ll finally have to figure out what Bob ♥ Abishola is.
