“I discovered it on TikTok!” is something I say more often than I’d like to admit. But let’s be real, many of the viral beauty products are shockingly good. Gen Z is rather passionate about honesty and transparency, so when something goes viral, you know it has to be legit. If a product isn’t truly worth your bucks, it certainly won’t get the TikTok seal of approval. Young people have spoken, and we’ve listened and rounded up all the best beauty goodies—some that TikTok made us buy, others that sold out so quickly we couldn’t get our hands on, and more that our peers can’t stop raving about. From K-beauty finds to must-have lip treatments, here are the viral makeup, skin, hair, and fragrance products that reigned supreme in 2024.

Glossier You has long held viral appeal—introducing the masses to the skin enhancing scent in the way only Glossier can. Seven years after its launch, the buzzy brand debuted two iterations of the scent: You Rêve and You Doux—two opposing eau de parfums that quickly sparked interest to TikTokers and commenters alike. I was personally drawn to You Doux, a soft warm blend of sweet violet, palo santo and frankincense; but social media seemed to gravitate towards You Rêve. This one is a bit more gourmand via buttercream, iris, plum butter, and toasted almond notes suited for that sweet-scent lover.

You can always be sure something from Rhode will make it on a trending beauty products list because Hailey Bieber and her team have cracked the code on virality. One, because of impressive marketing and two, because the products are actually good. Take the Pocket Blush for instance, the brand’s leading 2024 launch, which gave the internet a new take on the blush stick—delivering a natural flush of easily blended color across its six shades. I could’ve also placed the Rhode lip case on this list, too—many of my friends and editors are still pining for one of its seasonal case colors.

Dolce & Gabbana Devotion Eau de Parfum Intense

We all know vanilla perfumes are having a major moment right now, and one that’s rising in popularity on TikTok is Dolce & Gabbana’s Devotion Intense. This new version differs from the original through the addition of hazelnut to balance out the beloved orange blossom and vanilla combo. It’s a comfortingly warm yet fresh scent that’s great to wear through winter and well into spring.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation

In the court of public opinion, I’d go as far as saying that Chanel’s Les Beiges is winning the best foundation for naturally glowing skin. I’m fond of this formula because it’s incredibly lightweight—boasting an almost water-gel consistency packed with light-reflecting pigments that improve the appearance of skin's tone and texture. Not to mention, it’s made from 40% water which is wonderful for dry skin types or simply to amp up skin’s moisture levels throughout cooler months.

Biodance Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask

I still use the Biodance collagen mask once a week since I first tested it in July. Read my full review for all the details but I was pleasantly surprised that the sheet masks everyone kept wearing on their flights actually worked. The mask pairs hydrolyzed collagen, galactomyces ferment filtrate, and niacinamide to hydrate, improve skin tone, and reduce pore size. Literally all you have to do is wear it for a few hours (ideally overnight) to see the benefits. Not to worry, even if you’re a stomach sleeper like me, it’s unlikely to fall off your face.

Urban Decay 24/7 Moondust Glitter Eyeshadow

If you recall the Urban Decay Moondust eye-shadow launch in 2013, you might be confused about how it ended up on this list. But, as most things go, the decade-old formula is having a renaissance thanks to Gen Z for its wetlike glossy shimmer. The draw to these glitter eye shadows is their alluring sparkle atop the eyelid. It’s mesmerizing—and honestly perfect for New Year’s Eve or a similar festive occasion. To wear them in 2023, start with a brown, latte-hued base and add a bit of Moondust glitter to the inner corners of the eye. Shade Space Cowboy—a champagne gold—is a popular hue, but I’m quite fond of Cosmic, which offers more of a sheer sparkle.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm

As a lip gloss fanatic, I have been so excited for all the recent lip gloss buzz. A personal favorite that TikTok convinced me to buy is the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm when it went viral in 2023. Cofounders Lauren Ireland and Marianna Hewitt sure do know a thing or two about making a cult-favorite product, so I am in no way surprised this balm is so damn good. The number one rule of a gloss-finish lip product is that it should not be sticky. Check. This balm has a silky finish that envelops lips in much-needed moisture thanks to shea and murumuru-seed butters. 2024 was the year the lip stain really rose to prominence. Among them, the Wonderskin masque was the most sought-after. If there’s one thing TikTok loves, it’s a heatless curling hack. No matter your algorithm, give the app a few hours of screentime and you’re certain to stumble upon someone trying a new way to wake up with bouncy, effortless waves. Since summer, I’ve been seeing these thicker curling rods take hold. Wear one at the top of your head to add volume around the face-framing pieces, and another at the back to style the rest. I’ve yet to try myself, but I have high hopes. I’m on a mission to master them over the holiday break.

I cannot tell you how many times I saw a woman with “perfect” skin, only for her to do a GRWM to reveal the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick was her secret. Unlike other stick foundations, this one delivers a satin finish that achieves a radiantly smooth gleam IRL. “The satin finish gives you radiance where you want it without becoming overly oily, making it an excellent choice for long days or special events,” pro makeup artist Amrita Mehta previously told Vogue.

It was a limited-edition drop, though fans have been asking for it to be part of the brand’s permanent collection.
