فلک سے چاند چمن سے گلاب لے آئے

اخلاق بندوی

فلک سے چاند چمن سے گلاب لے آئے

کہاں سے کوئی تمہارا جواب لے آئے

ہزار رنگ ہیں حسن و جمال کے لیکن

وہ رنگ اور ہے جس کو شباب لے آئے

عجیب طرفہ تماشا ہے زندگی میری

خوشی بھی آئے تو غم بے حساب لے آئے

ترے خمیر میں شامل ہے گمرہی ورنہ

فلک سے کتنے پیمبر کتاب لے آئے

ادھر وہ تشنہ لبی ہے کہ جاں بہ لب ہیں ہم

ادھر وہ دست کرم پر سراب لے آئے

اسی کی آج بھی رہتی ہیں منتظر آنکھیں

جو آ بھی جائے تو صد اضطراب لے آئے

یہ شعر گوئی ہے اخلاقؔ کوئی کھیل نہیں

کرے وہ مشق جو چھلنی میں آب لے آئے

falak se chand chaman se gulab le aae
kahan se koi tumhaara jawab le aae

hazar rang hain husn-o-jamal ke lekin
wo rang aur hai jis ko shabab le aae

ajib turfa-tamasha hai zindagi meri
KHushi bhi aae to gham be-hisab le aae

tere KHamir mein shamil hai gumrahi warna
falak se kitne payambar kitab le aae

idhar wo tishna-labi hai ki jaan-ba-lab hain hum
udhar wo dast-e-karam par sarab le aae

usi ki aaj bhi rahti hain muntazir aankhen
jo aa bhi jae to sad iztirab le aae

ye sher-goi hai 'aKHlaq' koi khel nahin
kare wo mashq jo chhalni mein aab le aae
