These statistics (see below) are more or less what you'd expect: Unfortunately, Russia is pretty strict on enforcing copyright amongst government and commercial organizations these days. In light of recent events, it really needs to stop that. I also find it ironic that amongst ordinary people, it is Russian liberals/SWPLs (lowest life form on the... Read More
Just a PSA that in The Current Year there is absolutely no need to pay for almost anything. Save the money, use it to go on holiday, drink it away, give it to me ( ), etc. instead. This will also be a reference post for future review posts. Use Sci-Hub: Emil Kirkegaard has a... Read More

Now I don't of course mean to say that being an impoverished wayfarer is any better of a proposition than hoarding. That has tons of... Read More

About Anatoly Karlin

I am a blogger, thinker, and businessman in the SF Bay Area. I’m originally from Russia, spent many years in Britain, and studied at U.C. Berkeley.

One of my tenets is that ideologies tend to suck. As such, I hesitate about attaching labels to myself. That said, if it’s really necessary, I suppose “liberal-conservative neoreactionary” would be close enough.

Though I consider myself part of the Orthodox Church, my philosophy and spiritual views are more influenced by digital physics, Gnosticism, and Russian cosmism than anything specifically Judeo-Christian.
