Staff mobility
Staff exchange with international partner universities is encouraged as a way to expand cooperation and provide opportunities for mutual learning.
Student mobility
Every year we welcome more than 1500 exchange students from our partner universities to UiO while over 1000 UiO students go abroad for a semester or two as part of their degree.
Research collaboration
At the UiO research collaboration with international partners is initiated at the department or research group level and is based on mutual interest between the specific partners and UiO researchers. Potential partners need to identify and get in contact with relevant researchers or research groups at the UiO directly in order to discuss possible collaboration.
Joint, double and multiple degrees
UiO aims to develop more programmes at master's and phd level jointly or in collaboration with international partner universities, in additon to the joint and collaborative programmes that already exist.
