THE RAF aerobatic team the Red Arrows performed a colourful flypast in the skies above Edinburgh to celebrate King Charles as he appeared in Scotland for a Coronation event.
His Majesty was presented with the Honours of Scotland at St Giles' Cathedral today.
The Red Arrows rounded up the royal events with a special airshow over Edinburgh.
Nine of the iconic red jets soared through the skies trailing red, white and blue smoke in a stunning display.
The main presentation of Scotland's Crown Jewels took place at a National Service of Thanksgiving, after processions along the Royal Mile.
The historical crown, sword and sceptre were escorted to St Giles under military and police surveillance.
Then King Charles, accompanied by Queen Camilla, made the Royal procession from Holyroodhouse Palace to the cathedral.
They arrived at St Giles at around 2.10pm, with the service starting shortly after.
The hour-long service was concluded by a royal gun salute from Edinburgh Castle as the King and Queen left St Giles.
And Scots were able to witness the stunning airshow at 3.40pm.
