M&S shoppers flock to pick up new Easter version of ‘elite’ snacks

SNACK fans are in for a treat as a supermarket giant released new sweet treats perfect for Easter.
Foodies at Marks & Spencer were beyond excited when they spotted the new Scrummy Bunny Munch Tin.

The Easter treat tin is an "ear-resistible" 460g mix of jelly-fied eggs, jelly carrots, white chocolate and raspberry popcorn, milk chocolate pretzels and more.
One fan alerted the Facebook group Snack Reviews of the tin's arrival and the internet has already gone wild over the new snack tin.
Shoppers are tagging their friends and family, making plans to snap up the new munch tin.
One user said: "Can't wait, grabbing this for Easter".

Another added "Mmmm we had these in once as a gift and it way lovely".
A third chimed in "I had these at Christmas, they were so yummy - I need this edition".
M&S is currently only stocking the product in stores, so you won't be able to purchase it on its website.

Alternatively, the Scrummy Bunny Munch Box is available online on the Ocado website for £10.
M&S was the first to hit the shelves with its Very Merry Munch at Christmas - a box packed with chocolate, pretzels and popcorn, first introduced back in 2021.
It was a viral hit from day one.
An online user claimed it was "the best Christmas treat bar none".
Others commented on how "yummy" the selection was.
The first time it featured on the posh supermarket’s Instagram account, it racked up over 10,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

How does it compare?
It seems other supermarkets are beginning to launch their own delicious versions.
Asda is currently selling an Easter Munch Mix 200g for £2.50.
The Asda mix works out at £1.25 per 100g which is significantly cheaper as M&S' tin is £2.17 per 100g - almost double the price.
However, the M&S version does include a fun and festive Easter bunny tin box which shoppers can re-use and fill with their own mixes.
One fan said on the Facebook group Snack Reviews: "love it - you get to keep the tin and then add refills."
But not all shoppers were as enthusiastic about the tin: "M&S tins are a rip-off at £10 as the refill bags are £6.50 for the same weight. So you're paying £3.50 for the tin."
Another added: "You only need to buy the tin once or in fact you don't need to buy the tin at all. Just keep it in a Tupperware."
A third said: "I just buy the refills and put them in a chocolate tin."
The cost of the tin is also a gripe on the Ocado website, which sells M&S products, where one shopper said: “This is a delicious mix but you are definitely paying for the tin.
"I’d prefer a bag to reduce the price as I wouldn’t buy again.”
This isn't the only snack to have stirred up some controversy.
The high-end grocer landed itself in some hot waters after rolling out a selection of cheeky chocolate in the run up to Valentines.
The decision sparked some heated debates among shoppers.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

M&S has made a huge change by opening a first-of-its-kind store as part of a new trial in December.
The iconic British retailer opening its first-ever clothing-only shop.
For nearly 100 years, M&S has sold both clothing and fresh produce.
While M&S has operated standalone food stores since 1987, it has never sold clothes in standalone stores.
However, a recent boost in fashion sales has driven the company to trial its first clothing-only store.
The shop located in London's Battersea Power Station opened to shoppers on December 4.
The new store features a curated selection of women's and men's clothing, focusing on premium lines and beauty products.
M&S chief executive Stuart Machin said the trial store would "showcase the best of M&S clothing and beauty at outstanding value".
The shop includes items like lingerie, £99 cashmere jumpers, and pieces from the trendy Autograph line.

If this trial proves successful, M&S plans to open more clothing and beauty stores across the UK.
The new store now co-exists with M&S's existing food hall at the Power Station, which opened in 2022.
